Ephesians 2:4-10
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

~Romans 5:6-11

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

~John 3:1-21

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

~1 Timothy 2:3-6

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

~Titus 3:4-7

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ~John 1:12-13

The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

~II Chronicles 15:2

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD

~Psalms 3:8

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

~Isaiah 12:2

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

~Psalm 37:39

Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word. Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes. Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments… I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.

~Psalm 119:153-156, 174

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

~Psalm 149:4

Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

~Isaiah 59:1-2

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

~Lamentations 3:22-26

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

~Luke 1:77

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

~Luke 19:10

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

~Acts 4:12

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

~Romans 1:16-17

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

~Romans 10:9-13

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

~Romans 13:8-14

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

~Ephesians 1:13

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

~Ephesians 6:11-18

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:12-15

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

~2 Timothy 3:15-17

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

~Titus 2:11-14

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

~Hebrews 5:8-9

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

~Hebrews 9:27-28

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

~1 Peter 1:3-9

My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

~Psalm 7:10

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

~Psalm 34:18

Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

~Proverbs 28:18

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

~Mark 16:15-18

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

~John 10:9

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

~Acts 2:21

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

~Acts 16:30-31

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

~Isaiah 43:10-13

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

~Isaiah 45:22-23

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

~Matthew 1:21

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

~Luke 19:10

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

~John 3:15-18

 1 Timothy 1:12-16
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

James 20-27
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 4:12
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

~Genesis 2:18-24

18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

~Ephesians 5:22-33

22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

~Titus 2:3-5

3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

~1 Peter 3:1-7

1Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

2While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

3Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

4But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

5For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

6Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

7Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

 ~Proverbs 9:13-18

13A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

14For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

15To call passengers who go right on their ways:

16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

~Proverbs 11:16

16A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

~Proverbs 12:4

4A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

~Proverbs 14:1

1Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

~Proverbs 18:22

22Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

~Proverbs 19:13-14

13A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

14House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

~Proverbs 21:9

9It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

~Proverbs 21:19

19It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

~Proverbs 25:24

24It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

~Proverbs 23:27

27For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

~Proverbs 27:15-16

15A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

16Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.

~Proverbs 30:20

20Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

~Proverbs 31:10-31

10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

14She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

~1 Corinthians 7:39

39The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

~1 Corinthians 11:5-15

5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

7For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

8For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

11Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

~Colossians 3:18

18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

~1 Timothy 2:9-15

9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

~1 Timothy 3:11

11Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

~1 Corinthians 7:10-14

10And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

12But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Qualifications of a Preacher

~Galatians 1:8

8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

~1 Timothy 3:1-13

1This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.  2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

6Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

7Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

8Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;

9Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

10And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

11Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

12Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

13For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

~Titus 2:1-6

1But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

2That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

6Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

~Ephesians 4:1-32

1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

19Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20But ye have not so learned Christ;

21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27Neither give place to the devil.

28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

~Titus 1:6-9

6If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

The Holy Ghost

Gen 17:1-11
1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

Ex 12:12-13
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Josh 5:1-7
1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites,
which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
2 At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.
3 And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
4 And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
5 Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.
6 For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
7 And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.

Ezek 9:1-4
1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Ezek 36:24-28
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Matt 17:1-5
1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Luke 11:13
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 24:49
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

John 5:24
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 14:16-19
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 14:25-26
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26-27
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Acts 1:4-5
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Acts 2:32-33
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Acts 19:1-6
19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Rom 8:15-17
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Rom 8:19-23
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Rom 9:4
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory,

and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Gal 3:14
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Gal 4:1-7
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Eph 1:3-6
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Eph 1:9-14
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated

according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory

Eph 4:30
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Did The Rapture Happen In 1963 & Are We Living In The Millennium?

I’m watching for the coming of that glad Millennium day when sin and shame shall be destroyed forever.

What do you need Divine healing in the Millennium for, when you’re immortal?

The Word of God comes only to a prophet: always. Malachi 4 promised such. And when He come forth, He’d take the mysteries of God, where the church had got all scrupled up in all these denominations, and restore the faith of the children back to the fathers; and then the world judgment would strike, and the earth would be burnt; and then the righteous would walk out upon the ashes of the wicked in the Millennium. You understand it now? All right.

Notice, Malachi 4, as soon as that messenger goes forth, the world is completely burned, and the righteous walk out in the Millennium on the ashes of them. So you see, if you put that being him back there, then–then the Bible told something that wasn’t so. We’ve had two thousand years, and the world ain’t burned up yet, and the righteous living in it. So it’s got to be in the future.

“All the Father has give Me will come. No man can come ‘less the Father calls him, and all He’s give Me will come to Me,” So that’s–that’s it. He just… The Lamb sets there making–making intercession till the last one comes in. The little bell rings and He walks out and takes His possession then (You see?), so, brings His Church home, His subjects, and casts His enemy into the lake of fire and all of his subjects go in there with him, and that’s it. Then we walk out in the Millennium.

192     That’s the reason that woman cried, “Thou Son of David.” And David is the… Son of David, God swore by him, to David that He’d raise up his Son that would take his throne; it would be a everlasting throne. See? It’d have no end. Solomon give it in a type in the temple. And Jesus just told them here, that’s–there won’t be a rock left on one of them, but He’s trying to tell them here what? He’s coming back.
“When are you coming back?”
“These things will take place before I come back.” And here they are.
Now, we’re at the time of the tribulation. Remember, when the Kingdom is set up on the earth… Now, this may be a little shocking, and if there’s a question, and you–you still ask me, if–if you want to put the question up afterwards, ’cause I just hit it, if you didn’t–if you don’t already know it. In the time of the Millennium, it’s Israel that’s a nation. The twelve tribes is a nation, but the Bride is in the palace. She’s a Queen now. She’s married. And all of the earth shall come into this city, Jerusalem, and shall bring the glory of it in there. And the gates will not be shut by–by–by night ’cause there won’t be any night. See? The gates will always be open; and the kings of the earth (Revelations 22) bring their honor and glory into this city, but the Bride is in there with the Lamb.
352     Look at it. Not only here, but the world over, the thing is polluted, and the world, the nature… God, have mercy. The whole world in its birth pains, the world is trying; she’s travailing, Isaiah said. What’s the matter? She’s in–trying to bring forth a new world for the Millennium where all the…?… trying to birth a new world for a new people that won’t sin and pollute her. That’s right. She’s in travail.
353     Brother, the earthquake burst open, and the stars shake; volcanics will come forth, and the earth will renew itself. New lava will break forth from the center of the earth, and she’ll crumble all around and around and around when she spins out in yonder.
And I tell you, one morning when Jesus and His Bride comes back to the earth, there’ll be a paradise of God there that… Oh, my. Them old warriors of the battle walk down through there with their friends and loved ones; the anthems will fill the air, of an Angelic host. “Oh, it was well done, my good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of the Lord that’s been prepared for you like you should’ve had back yonder before Eve started the ball to rolling in sin.” Amen. Whew.
Yes, Sixth Seal’s going to do something. Yes, sir. Truly the whole world is groaning and paining for the Millennium age.

200     16. What happened to the born again believers who are in the various denominations but not in the Bride of Christ? What happens to them?
Well, I think we explained that awhile ago. See? They go into the tribulation. They are martyred in the tribulation, come up in the last after the Millennium for their judgment (See?), because the Bible said that the rest of the living… the rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years was expired. Then there was a resurrection, and then come forth the both just and unjust and was judged by Christ and the Bride. He came to the earth with ten thousands times ten thousands of His saints (Is that right?), His Bride.
Judgment was set, the books was open… Books was open, and another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. He separated from there the goats from the sheep. Is that right? That had nothing to do with the Bride. She was standing right there in judgment with her Queen–the Queen and King together.

351     A man running up here the other day from North Carolina, just before we left, he said, “Glory to God. Can you tell me where some great somebody was?”
And I said, “No.”
“Oh, yes, sir,” said, “this guy’s got the…” Said, “This guy is the president of the Auto Mission.”
I said, “The what?”
He said, “Auto Mission.”
I said, “I don’t understand.”
And he said, “Oh,” said, “this guy’s the president.”
I said, “What’d you say his name was?”
He said, “Branham, I believe, something like that, Brown or Branham.”
I said, “Well, my name is Branham.”
He said, “Are you the president of the Auto Mission?”
I said, “No, sir.”
He said, “Well, where’s the Millennium at?”
I said, “I don’t know.”
He said, “Why, you’re a… You–you mean it–it–it–it–it’s going on right here and you don’t know it?”
And I said, “No, sir, I don’t.”
And he said, “Well, glory to God,” said, “I got some–some friends that come, told me,” and said, “I quit work;” still had his work clothes on. Said, “Brother, I want the Millennium.”
And I said, “Well, I–I believe you’re just a little bit confused, aren’t you, brother?
About that time a car drove up, a taxi cab. She said, “Hold it, hold it, hold it.” A little woman come up there, she said, “Now, you’re going to pray for my husband.”
I said, “Yes, ma’am, what–what about it?”
She said, “Well, I understand you have to wait a month on an interview (See?), to get prayed for.”
And I said, “What?”
And she said, “Yes, sir,” said, “but I’m desperate. You got to pray for my husband.”
I said, “Sure, where is he at? Bring him on.”
This guy standing, looking on, said, “Do you pray for the sick too?”
I said, “Yes, sir.”
Said, “What did… You say your name was, Branham?”
I said,… “And you don’t know nothing about the Millennium?”
I said, “Well, I–I… No, I don’t.” I said, “I–I don’t understand it just right in the Bible.”
He said, “No, it’s right now. People’s come from everywhere.”
I said, “Where’s it at?”
He said, “Jeffersonville, Indiana, right under the bridge.”
I said, “Sir, you’ve got me bested.” And I said, “I don’t know nothing about it.” I said, “Let’s go in and set down. Maybe we can talk this thing over.” We did. See?
Don’t–don’t… You see, friends, don’t you never desire a ministry. (You know what I mean. See?) You be happy you’re just where you are. You–you just go right on.

390     Notice, there is a whole earth is to be purged. There will be such a thing that the moon, stars, and all nature will be purged. You see what it is? The earth is renewing herself, being purged, getting ready for the Millennium. The millennium’s coming up. And see, everything that’s got any filth in it is to be purged during the Sixth Seal.
Now, now, do you notice on the opening of this Seventh Seal, it’s also in a threefold mystery. This one I have… will speak, and have spoke, that it is the mystery of the seven thunders. The seven thunders in heaven will unfold this mystery. It’ll be right at the coming of Christ, because Christ said no one knew when He would return.

133     How many sins was committed in this city last night? Wasn’t it better when the coyote howled down through the desert here, and God looked upon it, when the old Hopi or Navajo went through here on his trellis? Then look at this filth, and just gaum, and–and traditions and politics. And it’s a bleeding, nasty mess that stinks in God’s nose. He’ll… corrupted, before Him.
134    He’ll blow it to pieces, some of these days. And He’ll burst forth the earth, and she’ll renew herself with volcanic eruption. And there’ll come a Millennium then, where the righteous will walk out upon the ashes of the wicked, according now, Malachi.

9    And then–then, instead of coming in and joining either the Assemblies, or the United, or the church of God, and all them very fine men, all the groups, I just stood between them, and say, “We’re brothers. Don’t argue, one with another.” Now, if Satan can keep us fighting at one another, he don’t have to fight. See? But when we train our guns on him, and away from one another, go to loving one another, fellowshipping with one another, then the Millennium will start.

94     And then those spirits get jealous of another spirit. And what do they do? They cause war. That’s right.
95    Now, you see, every nation is controlled by Satan. The Bible said so. He’s the god of the nations. Satan took Jesus up, top the mountain, and said… showed Him all the kingdoms was in the world, all the kingdoms, in a moment of time. Said, “These are mine. I do with them anything I want to.” Said, “I’ll give them over to You, if You’ll worship me.”
96    Jesus said, “Get behind Me, Satan.” He knew He was going to fall heir to them in the Millennium. See? So, He didn’t have to bow down to him. He knowed they was going…
97    Now, when God comes again, and take, makes His Kingdom here, see, there will not be any different kinds of spirit; a German spirit, and a French spirit, and a–a Norwegian spirit, and American spirit. There won’t be that. It’ll be one Spirit, amen, the Spirit of God, living in every heart. That’s right. And there’ll be one flag, one nation, one people, a brotherhood, a Fatherhood of God, and a brotherhood of men. Sonship! Yes.

126     We have had many great battles, spiritual battles. Many great V-days that the Church has had; I mean the Church, the Body of Christ. I’m not talking about the organization system now. I’m talking about the Body of Christ. The Body of believers, down through the ages, has had many great V-days.
127    We talk about, we’ve had several wars, the wars and rumors of wars, and V-days, and V-days, and V-days. And it’ll finally wind up into the great battle of Armageddon. That’ll be the last of it. When she comes to the battle of Armageddon, that’ll settle the whole thing. Just before the great Millennium, Armageddon is to clean off the earth. She repurifies herself with this atomic blowing, and the volcanic ash and thing sinks this soaked blood of men and upon the earth, and sin and crime. She sinks beneath the earth, and the volcanic brays out again, and renews and cleans the earth for the great Millennium. He cleans His Church, during that time, for a people to live here. Amen. I–I say, I like that. Yes, sir. There’s coming a time when it’ll be great.

32     I just finished a series of services on the last seven seals. And finding, in this sixth seal, that there is a great interruption in–in nature. The moon, the stars, the earth belches forth. The church is purged, Israel is purged, and everything is purged under that seventh seal, so that the Millennium can start in. There has to be a cleansing, first.
33    And that’s what the church, today, and what I want to point to you, that we need a cleansing. Before anything can begin from God, we got to have a purging. And when we look and see things that is now, under the present conditions existing the way they are, we can see that we got to have something to happen before God can continue His program, and a purging.

48     I live in Indiana, my native home. I’m a Kentuckian, by birth. And we live by the Ohio River. Enough water goes through there, a day, to make lettuce grow all over Arizona. Millions of gallons of water pass down that dam, and it looks like that some way we could bypass it. We got more than we need there. It’s almost a swamp. And–and you need the water here. But it will be, someday, in that great Millennium that is to come, when sin is taken from the earth, and them things will be right.

325    There is no more hopes. We can’t build nothing. All the nations has atomic, hydrogens, and poison bombs, and astronauts, and everything, Lord. The whole world is quivering and shaking. It’s going to be purified pretty soon, and get ready for a great Millennium. She is going to shake, like, to pieces. She is tottering now like a drunk man staggering home at midnight, in the darkness. She don’t know where she’s going.

93     Now, the days of Solomon, as any theologian, Scriptural man knows that that was the golden age of the Hebrews. They had no wars. They, it was almost like a Millennium to them. Great day! They built the temple. All nations feared them. They was afraid to do anything, because they know that the people was with one heart and one accord. God gave them a gift, and they believed it. They accepted it, and with one heart and one accord they work with it.

280     Now I want you to notice. This same Pillar of Fire is leading the people again to a promised Land, the Millennium. Where, we found, under the inspiration of this Sixth Seal, (it’s never been taught before), how the earth has to be purified for the Millennium. The Pillar of Fire is leading them to a Millennium.

47     In the first exodus, He was a Pillar of Fire. Then, when He came on earth, in the land to where He led them. What a beautiful type it will be in the Millennium, where He is leading the Church now. “We shall see Him as He is, and we’ll have a body like His Own glorious body.”

543     Notice Lucifer, in the last days, is doing as he did at first. What did Lucifer do? The first thing that Lucifer done to separate the fellowship of God and man, he wanted to build him a united kingdom, a greater splendor and seemingly more cultured, a greater kingdom than Michael, Christ had.
544    You got it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”–Ed.] Now, now if you miss it, just hold up your hand, I’ll say it again, you see. See?
545    Lucifer, at the beginning, his purpose in heart was to achieve a brighter and greater thing in Heaven than Christ had, is that right, by seemingly a more cultured, more beautiful, more splendor, than the Kingdom of Christ. Do you think we’ll have automobiles in the Millennium, and airplanes? See? See what Lucifer is doing?

61     And now, at the Coming of the Lord Jesus, those who are really loving His Coming, that’s living for it; when He appears in the sky, the Church that’s dead in Christ shall rise, and those will be changed in a moment. The rest of them will know nothing about it. Remember, “Appeared to those in the city.” See? The–the–the Rapture will be like that. We’ll see each other, and we’ll see them. The rest of the world won’t see them. It’ll be caught away as a secret going. Waiting for that time!
Then returning back to the earth for that glorious Millennium; then the thousand years… “The rest of the dead lived not for a thousand years.”
62     And then come forth the general resurrection, where, all Israel. And also, looky there, the twelve apostles, the twelve patriarchs, all represented. And we ain’t never got to that yet. Maybe, the Lord willing, we’ll get to it in the Testament, how that those walls of jasper, and twelve stones, twelve gates, twelve foundations, all of that’s represented. Here they are on twelve thrones, the angel-messengers of those days, to pass judgment upon those who rejected their message. Amen. There comes forth that great hour. Yeah.
63    What a day, what a time that we’re living! How that we should check up, Church. Now we talk about these things coming, that’s going to come. Now, today, let’s drop back here and see, check ourselves and see if we’re right in the Faith.

118    I’m not scared of the world going to pieces. There’s going to be a thousand years Millennium reign, after this is all over. God won’t defeat His own purpose. Only thing I pray, “Lord, am I right to go, when He comes?” That’s–that’s the only scare I have. “Have I pleased You, Lord?” See?
119    Don’t fear what man is doing. Fear God. Said, “Don’t fear him who can destroy the body. But He can destroy both body and soul in hell.” See? That’s right.
120    Now, arguments and so forth, as trouble sets in, fear. And we seem to be a whole lot the same today. But, remember, He is still with us.

176    Now, when the lion was first created, he was a friend of man. It’s the devil that makes him do that. That’s right. In the Millennium, the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock, and shall lay down with the bullock. They’ll not hurt or destroy in the Millennium. The devil will be gone. It’s the devil that makes wild beasts tear and rip and eat, and things like that, the way they do. It’s Satan that does that. But greater was He that was in Daniel, than he that was in the lion. See? Greater was He in that prophet, than he that was in the lion.

10     Did you ever notice God, in nature, does the same thing? Like the sap that’s in the trees up here, holding on the leaves; and ‘fore wintertime comes, the wrath that’s poured out upon the earth… See, at one time the earth didn’t have winter. And in the Millennium there’ll never be no more winters, you see. So it’s the wrath upon the earth. Then when that happened… See, before the wrath comes, God in His mercy sends that sap right down into the… underneath the ground, into the roots of that tree, and keeps it there until the wrath of the winter be passed, then raises it back up again, see, in the springtime.

162     There will be a Millennium. The old will be young there for ever. Sickness will fade away and death will be no more. They shall build houses, they will inhabit them. They’ll plant vineyards and eat the fruit thereof. They’ll not plant and another inhabit (his son take it), his son will be living by him. He’ll not plant and another eats, die off and somebody else take it; but he’ll live there. Amen. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together. And the lion shall eat straw like the bullock, and a child shall lead them around. There’ll be–there’ll be innocence. There’ll be–there’ll be–there’ll be nothing could hurt. We’ll be changed from what we are now, to that glorious image of the Son of God Which is immortal. Years can never touch Him, age can never do anything to Him, He’s the immortal Son of God. So we know that–that we’re at the end time. We’re at the junction. All these things thoroughly identified, so will it be identified again.

163     Now, the future, He holds it. How do I know when He’s coming? When is He coming? I don’t know, but He’ll be here. That’s right. When will He do thus and thus? When will the curse go off the earth? When will these blessed reflections of God’s love, of trees standing here and shining out, and the flowers and things, when will they immortal grow? I don’t know, but they will. When will all the reflection of men’s hearts desiring to live, and hospitals and doctors and operations, and crying and grief, when will it all cease, to a glorious reign with Jesus of a thousand years of Shalom? When will it? I don’t know. He said it would be there. I don’t know how He’s going to do it, but His spoken Word will be a-vindicated when the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings. And the healing part there will not be a physical healing as you think, as saying somebody’s got a sickness and it’ll be taken away from them. That’s what He’s doing now, in type. But the whole creature will be changed! This mortal will take on immortality. This old age will jump into youth. Amen. Well, how will it be? I don’t know, but it’ll be there.

231     God Who made the promise, in the last days these things would happen that we see happen! If He promised a son, and the son came; if He promised all these things that we see through the Scripture, and it did, let’s get into the rhythm of it. He promised in the last days these things would take place, and we see it. He promised that He would send Jesus. Hallelujah. There will be a Millennium! There will be a new day. There will be a day that the sun will never go down no more, for the… we’ll need it no more, for the Lamb is the Light of the City to where we’re going. Amen.
232    The dawning of a new day, I feel it all over me now. The Light of a new day! The Light of a day where there is no night, there is no darkness, no shadows, no skies, no–no dim, dark skies, no midnights, no graves, no flowers on the hillsides, no funeral processions, no doctors, no morgue. Amen. I–I can feel the–the rays of His Light breaking through upon my soul. The new day! The old one is pressing away.
233    As I feel the mortal blood pouring through my body, I feel the surge of the Holy Ghost come in behind it, “Rise, and shine.”

252     And remember, when the full Bible… Listen, in closing. When this full Bible has been thoroughly a-vindicated, then there will be an Eternal Shalom, Eternal Peace. See?
253    He come, and said He was “Peace on earth, good will towards man,” but the world didn’t receive it. See? See? He was Peace to everyone that come to Him for Peace. See? Peace on earth, good will to man, He was the Peace at that new year beginning, new day of God. For why? He was the a-vindicated Light of that day. See?
254    But there’s more Word to be a-vindicated. He’s got to vindicate more Word. And when the last Word is vindicated, is vindicated, rather, then death is swallowed up in victory, and the dead in Christ shall rise, the Millennium will set in, and it’ll be one great Peace, Shalom. Let’s live for that day, brother, sister, for that one great Shalom.
255    Remember, the Bible is the fountain of all wisdom, and holds all hopes of the future. To the Church, Shalom! Let us pray.

268     Heavenly Father, we thank Thee, this morning, for the Blood that makes us brothers. We thank Thee for the Son of God Who gave His life, that we might be one with Him in this great Kingdom upon the earth, the Kingdom of Heaven that’s to be established. “We’re looking for that glad Millennium day, when our blessed Lord shall come and catch His waiting Bride away,” the little Bride Tree. He is that Tree that was in the garden of Eden; the Bread of Life. So is His little Wife a tree, the Bride Tree of the last days. Where, everything has tried to bring, but the great powers of God prunes the branches off, that the fruit might ripen. Grant, Lord, that we can be included in that. Give us Eternal Life.
269    We have this one thing together, while we’re here in this city, we believe the Word of God. We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that He is not dead, but He lives. And His Words, the promise for the hour, is now being manifested. This is the last hours. This is the last sign. The Coming of the Lor-… The promised Son is at hand.

He will send Jesus Christ, the second time, He will come in a physical form. He will claim His Own. There will be one thousand years, Millennium reign upon this earth, with Him, with the redeemed. That’s what He promised, and we are looking for that hour to approach.

15     This, just the display, now it shows what’s being done. Like God becoming God when He created Angels. He become Son when He created Christ Jesus. He become Saviour when Jesus died. He becomes Healer when “He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we were healed.” See?
16    All these things are attributes of God, just so that in the–the end, the Bible said, Jesus said, “You will know that I am in the Father, the Father in Me; I in you, and you in Me.” It’s God becoming tangible. Your own wife, you and your husband, is just a shadow, a negative of God and His Wife, the Church. See, it’s just God’s attribute being displayed in shadows and types, like the Old Testament was to the New. See? Then in the end, it all winds up, God tangible. God in Christ, tangible, made flesh, dwelt among us. And in that great Millennium to come, God in the form of Christ, sits upon the throne of David; and the Church, His Bride, Husband and Wife together.
17    Why, it’s the most, it’s enough to set the heart of a believer on fire; in these great hours that we’re living, when all hopes and nations, and everything else, is crumbling on us, under us, we’ve got a Kingdom. We are baptized into this Kingdom.

72     I’m interested in the Coming of Jesus Christ, for a Church. Ministers ought to be busy about that, and seeing what the Scriptures promised today. I’m not looking for a taking over, of communists. I’m looking for a coming Kingdom, Jesus Christ, and the Millennium to set in. Not even (absolutely) interested in communism or none of their isms, or your religious isms, none of it! I’m interested in Jesus Christ, and Him only, get the people to see Him. He is here, proving Himself, here showing exactly what He said He would do in the last days.
Now they didn’t understand it. They were too busy.
73     Yet, they claim today to believe that He raised from the dead. Everybody, you believe He raised from the dead? Those who really claim to be Christians, believe that. And then he can come right around and do exactly what He said He would do after His resurrection, and still they don’t see it. Yes, sir. Oh! It’s the truth. They, they just still don’t see it.
74    Creeds, educational programs, they’ve got their ministers out and got them so educated. It’d blind, blind to their man-made theologies, that they’re off of the Word of God.
75     As I said last night, God don’t need any interpreter. I can’t interpret His Word, neither can anybody interpret His Word. He is His Own interpreter. When He said He would do anything, He does it, and that settles it. That’s all there is to it. He said He would do, and He did it. That settles it. He don’t need nobody to tell this is That, or that is That. He does it, Himself. Our interpretations is nothing to the Scripture. He speaks, Himself, and that’s the way it is.
76    When the beginning, when He said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. That don’t need any interpretation. “A virgin shall conceive,” did! “I’ll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh,” He did. Don’t need any interpretation.
77    What He said He would do in this day, He has done it. It don’t need to be interpreted; it interprets itself. He is His Own interpreter.

So, you see, the whole thing is–is, God becoming tangible. That, on the great Day that’s to come, when Christ sets upon the throne of David and reigns in the Millennium, it’s God, tangible, in the earth.
He is now in you. You are His attributes. If you’ve got Eternal Life, your life always was. And you was God’s thinking: the color of hair, whatever you are, you was God’s thinking, and you’re just materialized.
And that’s what God was when He was materialized in Christ; God, displayed, manifested in flesh, in Christ. He became material; God that we could touch. First Timothy 3:16, “Without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: for God was manifested in the flesh.” See? See? It was God being manifested, getting ready.

52     Then we find, after His death, burial, and resurrection, He came on the Day of Pentecost, as Son of God; God, the Spirit, in the form, Holy Ghost. What was He doing? He was changing Himself, making Himself known to His people in a different form. Like, the Holy Spirit, which is God, He came to deal through the church ages, as Son of God, the Holy Spirit.
53    But, in the Millennium, He comes as Son of David, to set on the throne of David, King. He was to take the throne of David. He is on the Father’s throne now. And then He said, “He that overcometh shall set with Me on My throne, as I’ve overcome and set on My Father’s throne.” So, He, in the Millennium, He’ll be Son of David. What is it? The same God, all the time, just changing His–His mask.
I am, to my wife, a husband.

142     Now notice, the trumpet is to call together the people, assemble themselves together for something. Sometime it announced a important person.
143    Like in Joseph, they sounded the trumpet, and Joseph was appearing; which is a–a symbol of “the Great Trumpet” that we speak of, and get to after a while, in Isaiah. That says, “When the Great Trumpet sounds, when that ensign will be lifted up, up there; and then there’ll come a time when the Great Trumpet will be sounded, and all the nations will gather to Jerusalem.” That’s when the Millennium starts; the Great Trumpet.

284     Then the Bride will come to be with the Bridegroom, and the Bridegroom with the Bride; and then the great Millennium, after the whole world is destroyed by atomic power. And there will be “a new heavens and new earth,” shall live forever.

60     And now, also, in the Book of Isaiah, now, that you want to put these Scriptures down, in Isaiah 65:17. Isaiah, speaking of the Millennium, that thousand years of rest for–for the people of God. Isaiah spoke of it, and he said, “I… There was a… All the former things had passed away,” and how they’ll build houses, inhabit them. If we had time… Maybe we just take time and–and read this just a minute, Isaiah 65, and let’s just read for a few minutes here. And here it is, right, for us. Now, to begin, Isaiah 65:17.
And, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:…
61    Now, Isaiah, the prophet, was one of the prophets that wrote exactly the entire Bible in his prophecy. He starts out with the creation; in the middle of his Book, about the 40th chapter, comes around John the Baptist, the New Testament; and winds up here, in his Book, in the Revelations, in the Millennium. There is sixty-six books in the Bible, and there is sixty-six chapters in Isaiah. He wrote a complete commentary.
62    Now, we find out, here now he’s getting the 65th chapter, one more chapter, and he speaks of the Millennium. Notice it, how beautiful.
… behold, I create new heaven and… new earth: and the former thing shall not be remembered, or come into mind. (It’s to “pass away.”)
But be–be ye glad and rejoice… even in that which I have created: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoice, and her people a joy.
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, for… nor the voice of crying.
There shall be no more thence… infant of days, and… an old man that has not fulfilled his days: for a child shall die an hundred years old; and a sinner being a hundred years old shall be accused. Then shall…
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and shall eat the fruit of them.
And they shall not build, and another inhabit; (that is, your farm, your son fall heir to it, or some of your heirs)… they shall not plant, and another eat there: (they do their own planting and remain there; they got Life Eternal)… for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and my long… mine elect shall long enjoy the works of their hands.
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offsprings with them.
63    Now notice, here is where I’m going to get to, after a while.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I’ll hear.
And the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like a bullock:… dust shall be the serpent’s meat. And they shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
64     What a promise, of these prophets and great sages, teachers of the Bible, way back in ancient days, seeing this glorious Day come!
65    By these passages, one might think, or be led, rather, to believe that the whole planet, of this earth, will be destroyed, “I make a New Heaven and a New Earth,” see, that the heavens will be gone and the earth will be gone, completely annihilated. But a close study, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can see the Truth of this; and that’s what we’re going into.
66     It is only the atmospheres around it, and the sin that’s upon the earth, that will be destroyed. See? Now, we realize that the heavens means the “atmospheres above.” See?
67     What does it do? It then, these thistles, and sickness, and death, and politics, and sinful man, and sinful woman, and evil spirits, will all be gone away and annihilated. See? It has to be done that way, because we are going to live right here. We’ll prove that by the Bible. Right here is where we live. Now notice, thistles, germs, all sicknesses and things, will be completely taken away. All this, its existence that’s in the earth now, man-made systems, politics, sin, all kinds of evil spirits that the world is contaminated with, and all the heavens above us in here, is contaminated with evil spirit. Now we’re going to go deep and long, in this, see.
68    All this exists in the heavens, or atmospheres, and the earth which is now. This earth holds those things, but it wasn’t made for that purpose. Sin caused it to be like that. See? It was made by God, the Creator. But all…
69    And all of our bodies, that we live in now, was put on the earth when God created it, because you’re out of the dust of the earth. It was all laid out here. When God Himself create it, you were in His thinking. And in Him, the Great Eternal, was the thought, which is His attribute.
70    And now sin caused all this to happen. And God, through this age, is gathering up His material.
71     Satan is still here. That’s the reason all these things happen. He is still here, and all of his evil forces are still here. Notice, that’s why the earth now is so filthy. That’s why the scum and ridiculous things that goes on; bloodshed, war, politics, sin, adultery, all kinds of filthiness goes on, is because that Satan is the ruler of this earth and this atmosphere.
You say, “The atmos-…?” Yes, sir!
72     Both the heavens and earth now is contaminated with devils that can accuse us before God. Jesus is There to intercede for us. See? While the accusers keep pointing a finger, “they did this, they did this, they did this,” but the Blood still covers. He came to redeem that Elected that He foresaw. That’s why it’s so filthy today.

64-0823M – “Questions And Answers #1″
God made the world in six thousand years, and the seventh thousand He rested. He said a man will never live that time out—a—a year—or—or day—”day you eat thereof, the day you die.” Adam—or Methuselah was the oldest man that ever lived in the Bible, and he was 969 years old; and he never lived that thousand years. But the man that’s going to live through the Millennium, one thousand years, to show that the—that the penalty has been paid… Man lives forever; the day is finished; the time is finished; they’re in eternity.

64-0823M – “Questions And Answers #1”
The Catholic church was established at Nicaea, Rome, under Constantine, when church and state and—united together, and—and the state give the church property, and stuff like that; they actually thought they was in the Millennium. They thought they hit a Millennium. That was Satan’s Millennium. That’s exactly right. Don’t you believe that stuff. Yes, sir.

64-0823E – “Questions And Answers #2”
The Bride, when the earth explodes… The time of the rapture will be the awakening of the dead and the get-togethering of the living, for—with the living, for the rapture to take place. Now, but the Bride… Now, see, one of them is a rapture way back here before the Millennium. And when the earth burns up is back here after the Millennium and after the white throne judgment. See? The Saints will be camped upon the breadth of the earth when Satan comes up around the beloved City and God rains fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them. All right. Now, that’s Scripture.

Now, “Will children be born during the thousand years Millennium reign?” That’s the question in my mind, that I told you the other day. I don’t know. It looks a whole lot like it could be; it looks a whole lot like it couldn’t be. I’m going to be as honest with you as I know how to be. I don’t know to this time. If God ever reveals it, I will tell you. But wait; it has to come from God. You’re my children. I wouldn’t tell you. I don’t know whether there will be or whether there will not be. I can’t say.
147 “… or will there be sin on earth during that time?” No. There will not be no sin on earth. Satan is bound.
“And will there be people on earth in corporal bodies during that time?” Yes, sir. We will have our glorified body right here on earth, eating, drinking, building houses, and—and—and living just like we do now for a thousand years. It’s a—it’s the honeymoon of the Bride and Groom.

The church, the lukewarm, the anything outside of the elected Bride will go through the tribulation period. They will not raise in the first resurrection: “The rest of the dead lived not for a thousand years,” just the foreordained, predestinated, elected Bride, God’s own elections. “Who is it, Brother Branham?” I don’t know? I can’t tell you who it is, but I know it’s going to be there, ’cause the Lord said they would. See? They are the ones that’ll go up from the tribulation, but the rest of them will go through the tribulation, go down, and everything will be killed before the Millennium. Then the—the righteous shall come out in the Millennium and live a thousand years.

64-0830M – “Questions And Answers #3”
So, sister, or brother, whoever it might be, or brother, it is here, ’cause he asked about his wife, you just be salty; she’ll get thirsty if there’s anything in her to thirst for. If it isn’t, remember, if you got the wrong person, you’ll get the right one in the Millennium. You just keep on going; all wrongs will be made right there.

141 339. Now, if time ceases when the Seals were opened, then—is… If time ceased (pardon me) when the Seals were opened, then the Millennium is also—then the Millennium is also finished, is it not?
No, no. Time didn’t cease when the Seals were opened. Misunderstood it. What happened, the mysteries was revealed, not time ceased. See? Just look. Watch real close now, and will—play your tape if you got it from a tape. See?
142 Time never ceased until the… This must be a post-millennialist or something that asked the question. Because see? We got a thousand years after the church has gone home and comes back upon the earth. Then time ceases in the new heavens and new earth.
Now, the Millennium is not the new heavens and new earth. There will still be sin after the Millennium. The Millennium is a type of Noah going in the ark, and carried over, and brought Ham and them on the other side. And sin even come out of the ark. See?
But Enoch, the translated one, was a type of the Bride that went up, not the one that was carried over. So sin will still be on the other side of the Millennium, but not during the Millennium. See? During the Millennium is peace. See? But sin will be dealt with the other side of the Millennium, and then time fades out.
And now, the opening of the Seven Seals that was given by the Holy Spirit, the Seven Seals only was to make known what had been left off in the dispensations behind us.

149 340. Does the Millennium have to do with the one thousand years? Could it not be a generation?
No. A generation allotted in the Bible is forty years. But the Bible said, “And they lived and reign with Christ one thousand years.” It will be one thousand years upon the earth, ’cause one thousand years upon the earth is only counted a time, for parable like to God, as one day. One thousand years upon on the earth is only one day with God, as God counting time. How many understands that now?
So it’s that Sabbath day when the church will no more labor against sin. And Satan is bound for a little season, a thousand years, ’cause his subjects is all in hell, and his… The church that’s on earth is redeemed and right in the Presence of Christ, so he has nothing he can work on. So it’s not a chain, as I said, a log chain; it’s a chain of circumstance; he has nothing he can do. He’s helpless and hopeless, just waiting for the resurrection of the subjects; then they’re separated as the sheep from the goats.

64-0830E – “Questions And Answers #4”
75 392. Ah… The church age ending and has blacked out, the Bride is called, we have already entered into the tribulation period?
No, no, no, you’re… I wished that I could just have more time on that. See, see? The Bride, when she’s taken from the church, then the church age will cease. Laodicea goes into chaos; the Bride goes to glory; and the tribulation period sets in upon the sleeping virgin for three and a half years while Israel is getting its prophecy; then tribulation sets in upon Israel; and then comes the battle of Armageddon which destroys all things. And then, the Bride returns back with the Groom for a thousand years, the Millennium reign; after that comes the white throne judgment; after that comes the new heavens and new earth and the new city coming down from God out of heaven. Eternity and time blends together.

93 404. When the Millennium starts, how will the unbelievers be taken off of the earth?
The unbelievers will go down in the tribulation period with the sleeping virgin, and all those others (unbelievers, and sleeping virgin), and the remnant of Israel that’s to be taken out.

106 406. Where are the foolish virgins during the Millennium?
In the Millennium they’re in the grave. “The rest of the dead lived not for a thousand years.”

64-1227 – “Who Do You Say This Is?”
169 We’d have never went over and had war with Germany or any of the rest of this. Had this… some of these big politicians setting up here to make new guns and start… I don’t want money out of… blood money out of my own child, that has to get out there and die for it. See? But that’s what it is, it’s politics that does it. And the whole world’s controlled by the devil. That’s exactly what Jesus said. And it’ll never be right until the Millennium, when Jesus comes and takes over. But now we’re having these troubles. (Hurry up so we can get through now.)

65-0206 – “Doors In Door”
7 Now, you know, if America, all together, all of our American families was like that, well, they’d just dismiss all the police force. Millennium would be on, wouldn’t it? We’d be right in first class then. That’s right. All death would fade away, all sickness, sorrow, all disappointments, and we would be with Christ.

300 “O how sweet it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” The Bible said, “It’s like the anointing oil that was on Aaron’s beard, that run down to the hems of his skirts.” You’re wonderful people up here. I hope to get back to see you again before Jesus calls me, or the Millennium. If I don’t, I’ll see you across the river over yonder. I’ll meet you at the river. Amen. It’s an appointment.

65-0221M – “Marriage And Divorce”
For He was called “Son of man” when He come first, now He is called “Son of God,” in the Millennium He’ll be “Son of David.” He come Son of man, a Prophet, as was spoke of Him; now He is Son of God, in supernatural; in the great Millennium that is to come, He’ll be Son of David, setting on the throne of David. As all Bible readers know that that’s a Divine promise with God, to David, He would raise up His Son to set on his throne.

65-0221E – “Who Is This Melchisedec?”
And so is it, that Christ is here, the Angels of God are here. And someday, in the great Millennium to come, it’ll be just more real than television or anything else, because they are here.

65-0418E – “Does God Ever Change His Mind About His Word?”
Therefore, all these things that had a beginning has to have an end. All sin has to come to annihilation. All sin has to be done away with. Therefore, in the great Millennium when the resurrection comes, we will not have to be reborn again by our fathers and mothers, but God like He did in the beginning will call man from the dust of the earth, and his helpmate with him. That’s right. That’s the way He did it at the beginning.

65-0801M – “The God Of This Evil Age”
89 Now let’s watch it be manifested. He says he is making a better world for them to live in, by his knowledge apart from the never-failing Word of God. But by his coming together, in denominations, and creeds, and intellectual, and scientific, and so forth, he is making a better world for man to live in, and ignoring the promise of God, that the only time the world will be fit to live in is in the Millennium. You know, my opinion, he’s made a better world to sin in instead of live in.

65-0822M – “Christ Is Revealed In His Own Word”
148 Now we’re going to speak about evening Lights, just for a few moments. The Bible predicts that there would come a time, right at the closing time, that the sun would come out, and there would be an evening Light. We all know that. Don’t we? We, we’re… We who are familiar with our Message today from the Lord Jesus, we believe that there will be a evening Light. And this evening Light…
Of course, the great Light will come when Jesus Himself will be manifested here on earth, or up in the Heavens, taking away His Bride, and then the Millennium will set in.

65-0829 – “Satan’s Eden”
64 There is the god of this world that I preached to you about last Sunday. Here he is today in deceit, that treacherous hour, that tremendous time that we’re living. It’s the most glorious time of all the ages, because we are facing the great Millennium again; we’re facing the Eden again. But right at this age, all the deceit and every tactic that he’s ever used and been able to deceive with, he’s gathered it all together and reinforced hisself; and come down like God, and has put hisself in place of God; religious, and can quote the Scripture and can tell you Scripture, just as Satan did to Eve in the garden of Eden. But leave out one spot of It, is all he has to do, make that gap, where the poison doctrine of the devil can pour through, like the thinking man’s Filter we was talking about the other night.
65 Now, he said he would exalt himself above the most High; he would ascend above the clouds and the stars, and he would sit there like God, and be above the most High. And he has succeeded in carrying out his threats. He has certainly had a marvelous success in carrying out his threats, by the people letting him explain away, in every age, the value of God’s promised Word to that age. That’s exactly how he’s done it. In every age, he explained It away.

165 Remember, here not long ago, I was teaching you on the Seven Trumpets, the Feast of Trumpets, and so forth. And I said, “There is a eighth-day festival.” So, the seventh day would be the last, that would be the Millennium. But there is an eighth-day festival; which, if it was the eighth, and there’s only seven days, would make it the first day again, come right back to the first day. Then, after the Millennium is over, then there will be an established Eden again. God’s great Kingdom will be taken back. Because, Jesus fought it out with Satan, in the garden of Gethsemane, and won back the Eden; which, He’s gone to prepare in Heaven, to return again, up in Heaven. He said, “Let not your hearts be troubled.”

167 “In My Father’s house are many…” Or, “In My Father’s economy, in My Father’s plans is many palaces. I’ll go to prepare a place.” Look how long it is, fifteen hundred square miles! Say, where’s it at? He has gone to prepare it. He is Creator. He creates all that gold. The streets are transparent. He is Creator. He is making a place. Over in Revelation 21, he said, “And I John saw the holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God out of Heaven.”
168 “There was no more sea; the first heaven and first earth was passed away.” What was our first heavens? Was the Millennium. What’s the first earth? Was this. It’ll be renovated. Just like it was baptized by Noah, in the days of his preaching; was sanctified by Christ, as He sprinkled His Blood upon it; and be renovated, take all the germs and everything off of it, in the renovation at the end, with a Fire baptism that’ll kill every germ, every sickness, every disease, every filth that was ever on the earth.
169 She’ll burst forth, and come forth a New Earth. “And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth. First heaven, this first earth, was passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God out of Heaven.” There God will be with His true attributes, sons and daughters, where He can fellowship with them in holiness, with their eyes blinded to any sin. There’ll never be no more sin from there on.
170 Let us strive hard; don’t be deceived in this day, but, “strive to enter in at the gate.”
171 “For all that will be left out will be whoremongers, lusters.” “Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already.” All with… outside will be ill-fame women, ill-fame man, and so forth.
172 And only those that are redeemed, and in the Lamb’s Book of Life, will enter in at the gate. So strive, friends; don’t be deceived in this last day.

65-1125 – “The Invisible Union Of The Bride Of Christ”
And we know that history is closing out. The world’s history will soon be over, then we’re going to step into a new day, to the great Millennium. That, as one believer, I believe in the… in a Millennium, a Millennium reign with Christ, a thousand years upon the earth; the physical return of the Lord Jesus, to take a physical people, glorified, by His cleansing Blood.

65-1127B – “Trying To Do God A Service Without It Being God’s Will”
134 By Him being infinite… Do you believe He’s infinite? If He isn’t, He can’t be God. Then, you think, being infinite: He knew every flea that would ever be on the earth, how many times them fleas would bat their eyes, how much tallow was in each flea, every blade of grass it would ever set on; that’s infinite. We are finite, we stumble in darkness. God likened us to sheep, and we must have a Leader. And that Leader is not man, that Leader is the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Christ among us. “A little while and the world seeth Me no more.” His physical being was raised up to the Throne of God, where the Spirit was on the Throne; now Christ is on the Throne, Jesus. “A little while and the world seeth Me no more, yet ye shall see Me, for I’ll be with you to the end of the world, even in you.” The, Throne of God, of Christ, is erected into your heart; and He’s setting on God’s Throne, but in the Millennium He sets on His Own Throne; which, He swore that He’d raise up this Man, His Son, David’s Son, to set on His Throne.

65-1206 – “Modern Events Are Made Clear By Prophecy”
260 Now He come after the Day of Pentecost, He come back in the form of the Holy Ghost, supernatural Spirit. Now He’s Son of God.
261 In the Millennium He’ll be Son of David, setting upon the throne of David. See, He come in… He’s Son of God, Son of man, Son of David.

An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages (Chapter 2 – The Patmos Vision)
Now let’s get back to our Scripture. We know what the Lord’s Day is not. If it is not Saturday or Sunday, what is it? Well, let’s put it this way. Today is certainly not the Lord’s Day.
This is man’s day. It is man’s doing, man’s work, man’s church, man’s idea of worship, man’s everything, for it is man’s world (kosmos). BUT THE DAY OF THE LORD IS COMING. Yes, it is. It is just that at this time of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, John was taken up by the Spirit and transported by the Spirit to that Great Day that is coming. The Lord’s Day is when the days of man are over. The kingdoms of this world will then become the kingdoms of our God. The day of the Lord is when the judgments fall, and after that comes the millennium. Right now the world does what it wants to do with the Christian. They call him all manner of evil names, making fun of him. But there is coming that great and notable day when they will wail and howl, for the Lamb is coming in wrath to judge the world. That is when the righteous will have their day with the Lord, for the wicked shall burn and the righteous will walk over their ashes into the millennium.

False Prophets/Prophecy/Gifts

E-72     On down, Elijah the prophet, they were God’s gift. Many of them raised up false prophets. Right in the days of Elijah there raised up false prophets, but God testified of the prophecy of Elijah. If it’s of God, God will testify of it.

No prophet can say anything ‘less God puts it in his mouth, if he’s a prophet. If he’s a false prophet, if he’s a hireling, why, he–he can say anything. But if you say anything, and God has to bring it to pass. If God said it, it’ll be that way.

E-11     Now, I notice you’ve preached of fanaticism. God bless your heart, brother, I’m finding plenty of it (That’s right.), of pure fanaticism. And it’s only the works of the devil to hinder everything he can against God. That’s right.

There’s lots of fanaticism usually follows these things. Beware of it. I’m warning you before it comes. But God will testify of His gift. Is that right? He will testify of it.

There’s only one Healer, that’s Christ, the Son of God. He’s the Healer, God.
Men only represent healing. They represent Christ; they represent healing. Every person that represents Christ, should represent healing, for it’s in Him that we’re healed.
E-2     And then many of them, of course, can’t fathom the–the thought of a gift. The Bible said, “He ascended on high and give gifts to men.” And everything that we do must purely be of the Scripture. If it isn’t a Scripture background, then it isn’t right. But anything that’s based upon the Scripture is–you can listen to it. And if it’s God, God will testify of it. If it isn’t God, then God will not testify. Just the men will testify and God will not. But if it be God, God will testify for Himself.

E-48     And just like in the realms of the Pentecostal church… Oh, I don’t want to say this or not, you might not love me so much. But if you had kept fanaticism down, and kept it running clean and clear, this world out here is a hungering for what you got. That’s right. If you’d a let–add to the church daily such as be saved, and not broke off your little denominations and fussing with one another, the Church had been gone on in glory long ago. That’s right. Amen.

Now, I’m just as conscious as–as the rest of you, that there is much fanaticism hooked into Divine healing, and to the religion which we call Christian religion today. But many of you people who are Christians, and you know there is fanatics. But that doesn’t take away from Christ, that only adds to Christ, to let them know that there’s got to be a real genuine Holy Spirit for the bogus action to be made off of. If there is no real one, then the bogus would have to be the real one.
E-11     In other wise, if–if you see a bogus dollar, a counterfeit dollar bill, there has to be a real one for that to be made off of, or it would be the original and the real.
So when you see somebody who doesn’t live like a Christian, yet profess to be a Christian, and doesn’t act like a Christian, but just simply claims to be, and–and live that kind of a way, you know that back behind there somewhere there’s a real genuine Christian somewhere. See?
Well now, there’s many things that’s put in the act of Divine healing which it is not God doing it. But behind all of it, proves that there’s a real genuine God that really–a fountain open of Divine healing.

E-32     Now, kings, and rulers, and great men, they don’t deal in fanaticism. Now, I will admit the devil’s got scarecrows along the road. He’s got people who tries to impersonate something. He’s got people… devil’s got people that impersonates a Christian, try to make people believe they’re Christians when they’re not. But that don’t take away the value of a real Christian. To my opinion, it makes him conspicuous.
And that’s the same thing on Divine healing. There’s people go around with a bunch of work up and fanaticism, calling it Divine healing. That don’t take away the value of God’s Word and His death at the cross. It only makes it more conspicuous that it is right. For as long as there’s a bogus something, there’s bound to be a real one for it to be made off of. It’s only a vindication that there is a real one.

E-31     Some people when they get born again they set right in the middle of the road, eyes on Christ. Finally they get over here, so much knowledge and wisdom, till, oh, they know it all. You don’t know nothing. And if you don’t do that, you run off the other side to a bunch of wild fire and fanaticism. That’s right. But right in the middle of the way goes a true, sound, unadulterated Gospel and power of God. That’s right. Right down through there where you can take it to kings and monarchs, where anybody can stand and search, and they can see that it’s the power of Almighty God, not a fanaticism, or not a formality. It’s the power of God.

This one says, “It’s wild-fire. I don’t know what to believe.” That’s just where the devil’s got you (That’s exactly right.), just where he has got you, just where he wants you. See? Turn loose. Read the Bible. “God’s Word be true, and every other man’s word a lie.”

117     Let’s just take the loins, “girded about with a girdle,” that’s the–that’s the belt that holds the rest of it together. “Gird your loins with Truth.” In the day, brother, when there’s all kinds of isms and fanaticism, it’s time to gird yourself with the Truth. Hallelujah. Jesus said, “I am the Truth”: the Truth.
I tell you, when people say, “What about this? What about that?” It’s good to see that old Truth buckled around you (Isn’t it?), knowing where you’re standing. Then stand there. Let them say, “Well, you have this, that, and the other.” You know where you’re standing. Have the whole armor buckled on, and with a–a girt around here, buckled down good and tight, and pulled down with the Truth of God’s Word anchored in your heart.
All devils in hell can’t upset you. That’s right. You can meet Satan, say, “It’s written.” Hallelujah.
“Oh, I tell you, brother, did you take up serpents?”
“No, sir. I believe Jesus Christ.”
“Did you do this, that, or the other?”
“No, sir. I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.” Buckled about, an armor on, girded with Truth.
Now, they were ready while they were eating. God wants you to dress up before you eat this communion. And, brother, before you can correctly eat it, you have to dress up. For, the Holy Spirit that’s in your heart, will bring the Holy Spirit, lives on the Word of God.

E-9     Now, I want to say this, in behalf of many–probably [–Ed.] people tonight, we wouldn’t understand Divine healing, or–or critics of it. We do not claim to be Divine healers, now. There’s–there is a lot of fanaticism hooked up with Divine healing. There’s a lot of fanaticism hooked up with every phase of anything you want to go at. In your churches there’s people that’s real fanatics, religious fanatics, but that don’t mean that God isn’t real. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t a real true Christian. It only vi–indicates that there is a real one. If you had a bogus dollar, it’d have to be real sure fact that there was a real dollar that dollar was made off of. Is that right? If it isn’t, the bogus dollar would be the real dollar: the counterfeit. But being that there is a counterfeit, it only speaks of a real one. And when you see somebody acting like or pretending to be a Christian, it only means there is a real genuine Christian somewhere.
When you see somebody in a practice of Divine healing made in some fanatical way, it only speaks that there’s a real article somewhere it’s coming from. That’s right. A pro and con, negative and positive, true and false, in all things.

54     Them same demons live today. So there is a lot of fanaticism. This is the church this evening. There’s a lot of fanaticism in the land today, called Divine healing, that ought to be shut up. That’s what brings reproach upon the real cause. That’s why you have such a hard struggle. There’s a lot of stuff called religion today that ought to be shut up. [–Ed.] Nothing but cults. That’s what makes the true church of God have such a hard struggle with it. But we’re America (See?), and that’s the way it’ll be. God says the wheat and creepers and briers grow together. Don’t try to pluck them up. Let them grow together, but by their fruits you know them. There’s no fruits, why, there’s no life, there’s nothing there.

103     And when a prophet had a–give a prophecy, and they spoke and wanted to see if that prophecy was true, they put it before the Urim Thummim. And if the Voice of God throwed the lights on the Urim Thummim, then it was absolute, the Truth. And if a man gives an interpretation, gives a dream, gives something of the Bible and, or something another, and it don’t compare with God’s Bible, it’s false. There’s the Urim Thummim today. God’s Word speaks, and that’s direct the Voice of God, like the Urim Thummim was before the Bible was written.

I hear the abundance of rain coming. If people twist it around the corner, but it’s come to a place that God’s giving the Gentile world a shake with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, pouring It out with all of Its fullness and powers and signs and wonders.
The reason I hold… The Pentecost has been pushed out on the corner and went wild on different things like that; the time wasn’t ripe yet. That’s the reason they’ve had all this fanaticism. But that’s God’s Divine promise and God’s Divine Word, and It has to come to pass, for God’s done said so. And I believe just before the ending of the Gentile dispensation that God will pour out on fundamentalists.

E-10     So as Christians we must be reverent; we must be honest, and everything up and aboveboard, so everyone can examine and look in and see that Christ is the–is the virgin born Son of God and His Words are perfectly and absolutely true.
I was on my road to see Brother Bosworth in Miami, Florida, for my first time. I was passing down through Kentucky and Tennessee here on a train. I saw a vision of a little boy; he’d been killed in an accident, seen where he was laying. Just like this I have written here… Comes, many, many, times and tells things. And I don’t live far from here, a hundred and nineteen miles. You can go to my hometown and find it one time, in all the times that It’s ever told anything, that didn’t come to pass just exactly the way It said. Now, you pin a sign on my back as a false prophet, and I’ll walk through your streets. Cause it’s not myself, I’m a man, but He’s God. And He’s the One Who does the saying. If I would say it, it could be a lie, ’cause I’m subject to any–any mistakes, lies, anything else, like anybody else.

All the fire we ever had on the altar, we put it in the stove. What we need today…
You say, “Well, Brother Branham, I’m afraid you’ll get a little fanaticism, a little wild fire.” I’d rather have a little wild fire than no fire at all. Sure I would. I can put up with a little fanaticism before I could put with something that’s so icy, and stiff, and starch, and ungodly. How can God move into a place like that? Go into a place and the spiritual thermometer registering hundred below zero. Somebody say, “Amen,” and everybody stretch their neck, and look around, and see who said it. Preacher said, “You interrupt me.”

E-22     You’re the greatest, you Full Gospel people. I think that’s got… Now, of course, you know I was brought up and raised in the Baptist church and was a Baptist minister. Never did leave or anything else; I just come over here, because I thought you had… You… I know you have the deeper Light of the Bible. That’s right. It’s the truth. It’s the Angel of the Lord that appeared to me has sent me to you. And that’s exactly the truth.
Now, I don’t come as fanatic. I do not believe in fanaticism. I wouldn’t stand for it. And I know you don’t believe in fanaticism. You believe in the truth, and truth will always speak for itself. That’s right. You never have to strain truth. Truth will always be truth.

172     You call It fanaticism. I’ll admit they got a lot of it. But brother, there’s a real one there too, is that right? A real one there too… The devil throws every counterfeit he can right in the way to confuse you. And if you don’t think no more of God then get down and read your Bible, and pray and ask God, then it goes to show you’re not very interested in your soul.
Move right on out there and say, “God, I don’t care how many old crow baits You put out there. I see Your Bible present, and I’m determined.” That’s right. “You promised it to me, the seed of Abraham.”
God called you, you’ll come to It; but if you’re not, I don’t care how religious you are, you’re gone; that’s all. You can’t come, no man can, except He called you. And He’s not willing that any should perish, but a lot of you will because you’re too unconcerned about it.
And you’ll go around and see something looks a little fanatically, a little shadowed, “Well, Dr. So-and-so said so-and-so, and so forth.” And then you walk around and blaspheme the Holy Ghost. You know that’s right, and it’s never to be forgiven.
You’re going to find out in a few minutes what the mark of the devil is, what the–what the seal of the devil is, the mark of the beast. “Whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, will never be forgiven him in this world or the world to come.” Watch that first church, what they done. Watch out about this second church. You could seal yourself out of the Kingdom of God and into the devil; out into where there’s no forgiveness in this world nor the one to come. Truly. So be careful, walk reverently. Be careful what you do, for you don’t know what will take place.

I do not believe in fanaticism. I’m more against it than you are, because it’s my duty to be against it. It’s my duty to thin it out and to try to keep the church straightened out. I do not believe in fanaticism, but I do know the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and I know there is devils.

41     The churches, when they organize their churches, the things they do, they block off the blessings of God by their theology, that God cannot break through to bless His people. They get their church so formal, so stiff and so starchy till the Holy Spirit can’t come into the church. And then when the devil seen he had that made, and some was going to break through anyhow, then he let them open other channels that wasn’t the Gospel, and run them off into fanaticism. That’s right. See? They either get to be a bunch of fanatics or a bunch of starches. But in the middle of the road, there’s the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As I spoke this morning, and backing this up now for this great question I’m fixing to ask in a few moments, is this, that men take one another’s spirit. Be careful that you don’t get some man’s spirit instead of the Spirit of the Lord. Go into a church watch the way the pastor acts, and you’ll see the way the people act. See? If the pastor is real starchy and stiff, the people will be the same way. If you go into where it’s wild and fanaticism, the people will be the same way.
So, brethren, we’re ought to be thankful here in the tabernacle tonight for a pastor that’s sane, sensible, and preaches the Gospel simple, full, free, and in its power. Yes, sir.

163     I stand up and see a lot of fanaticism raise up, and acts like, and mock, and make fun like that. Not making fun, but they go out and bring reproach, actually a reproach: stand in the church and speak in tongues, and go out, and pout and fuss, and go away, for the next revival, and come back in. That’s not God. That’s right. No, sir. By your fruits you’re known.
I don’t care. Then you can present the truth to them, and say, “Here It is, THUS SAITH THE LORD.”
And a man looks at That; he’s afraid of It. He walks away and say, “Oh, I don’t believe it anyhow.” Brother, you’ve sinned against the Holy Ghost. You’ve done something that you’ll never be forgiven for, till you come make that thing right.

E-30     I know it sounds rough, and sounds like fanaticism, but so many people’s so afraid of fanaticism you miss the real thing. Did you always realize that scarecrows are put up around the good apple tree? There ain’t a lot of scarecrows… What’s a scarecrow is for is to scare you away from the real thing. Move on around them. Way on back there, there’s a real genuine Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost filled believers. Signs and wonders and vindications of a supernatural God, a King in the camp, that’s what made the difference between Israel and Moab. That was the difference.
That was the difference between Cain and Abel. Cain was a good man, so was Abel. Cain was a man that believed in God, so was Abel. But Abel had spiritual revelation that knowed it was blood not fruits. And he offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, which God received.

God can do something in America, and I–and the first thing you know, there’s so much false impersonation over it… They can start a move of God; and I tell you: it becomes after while, runs into a bunch of fanaticism. That’s the truth, friends, if I ever told it.

You can have all your fantastics you want to and all your big denominations, but bury me in Christ; for them that are in Christ, God will bring with Him at the resurrection. Between the lines, you see it?

“Don’t go after those little fantastics. Stay with the Bible.”
E-80     Here’s the Bible. God put His Word down here and will confirm It. You don’t have to go off after such stuff as that. Stay with Christ. And any gift that points you anywhere away from Calvary, I–I–I don’t say God couldn’t do it, but I’d just rather stay with the Word. I’d rather just know that God quoted It. There’s where it was finished.

E-52     Today there is so much based upon intellectual. There’s so much based in Pentecostal, upon fantastics, upon emotions. Now, don’t take a substitute when Pentecostal skies are loaded with the real thing. Don’t take some little emotions, some little work up, some little oil falling from your hands, or a bloody face, don’t take these little emotions when the whole skies of God is full of real genuine Pentecostal blessings. He will give you a new heart, a new spirit, and put His Spirit in you.

And any true servant of God, or any anointed of God, will never try to carry you off on some kind of a nonsense of theology, that’s just as lifeless as it could be, or some modern day fantastic. They’ll stay in the Word, a true servant.

And the Holy Spirit, which was in Christ, is in the church. And He is the vine, the energy Giver, and you are the branches. He has no other mouth tonight on earth but yours, no eyes but yours. You are the branches. The vine doesn’t bear fruit. The branch bears fruit. The vine only gives the energy. Is that right?
E-83     Now, if He will return… This is the Divine gift. I have nothing at all to do with it, don’t even know that He will. But you… He has five different gifts that He sets in the church. I different with some of your theology of laying your hands on one, and setting this one apart and that one apart, and giving this one gifts. God gives gifts. Gifts and callings are without repentance. And that’s not altogether Baptist teaching. That’s Bible teaching.
Watch. First is apostles (Is that right?), or a better word, missionary. The word “apostle” means “one sent.” A missionary is “one sent.” Apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, and pastors, God sets them in the church for to edify the church. They are gifts, ministering spirits, sent from the Presence of God to minister in every office of God.
E-84     Then in the local group, there’s nine spiritual gifts that come into the audience. There don’t belong to any… It’s just belongs here. It’s just in the local church. You see? One may do this, and this one may do this, and this one may never do it again, and this one over here, that’s just local gifts.
And how the people has made havoc, especially the Pentecostal people, until it had without teachings with just merely the spirit, and they have brought down all kinds of modern fantastics, till they brought disgrace on the–shame on the Word of God, because that stuff isn’t in the Word.
E-85     God in the Old Testament, when He had… You teachers know that how they knowed a message in the Old Testament. A prophet could prophesy, a dreamer dream a dream, they had a… Aaron had a breastplate. And in there was the Urim Thummim. And when the prophet prophesied, or the dreamer told his dream, and that majestic supernatural Light didn’t flash on that Urim Thummim, it was wrong. I don’t care how real it sound, it was wrong. That’s true.
But if that Light flashed and it was on–on the Urim Thummim, if what the man was saying was truth, then it was recognized to be God. You know that? Anybody ever know that in the Bible? That shows you been reading your Bible.

E-18     Then they got them a false prophet. When people won’t receive the truth, though it be in the minority, they’ll raise them up a false prophet. The Bible said in the last days that false prophets, the people would heap for themselves teachers, having itching ears, and would be turned away from the truth unto fables.
Now, God has to keep His Word; He has to do it. Turned away from truth unto fables… And you notice they went and got another man by the name of Korah. And Korah got all the people together as many as he could, and pulled them off, and segregated them from the rest of them and started himself a little denomination of his own, saying, “There’s more prophets besides Moses. There’s more holy men. We are all holy men. And each one of us has just as much right to believe this as they have to believe that.” But, brother, it was a lie to begin with.
E-19     God has a program, and that program is written in His Word; and His Word said we should be one, all together, not a divided, divisions, and fusses, and stews, but we should be one. Christ prayed that we would be one, and He said, “This will all men know you are My disciples when you have love one for the other.”
How can gifts and signs work in a church? How can God perfect His Church when there is so much division among us? How can, when one says this, and one says that, and one says something else, and all contrary one to the other… There is one supreme Judge, that’s God’s eternal everlasting Word. And God keeps His Word. So quicker we can line up with that word, better off we’ll be. God keeps His Word.
E-20     Now, if you notice what caused this trouble, there was a mixed multitude went up with them. The supernatural had been done down in Egypt. And when the supernatural had been done, everybody flocked to it; and it caused a mixed multitude to go with them, unregenerated, unconverted hearts going up, trying to impersonate the real believer. And it’s then that in the days of Noah, it was in that in the days of Christ; it’s prophesied in God’s Word for to be the same thing in this day. The supernatural has been done. And there’s a mixed multitude gone up unregenerated, hearts not conditioned, not keeping God’s Word, but impersonating something.

E-42     Then if God lets us live, watch what this thing’s coming to. If God lets us live for a few more years and I pass through Phoenix, get that–get a little yellow piece of paper out, and walk up to the pulpit and say, “What about this, Brother Branham?” Then I’ll tack it on my back, and you get in your car, and drive me down the street, as a sign on my back, “A false prophet.”
This thing is coming from the devil, and it’s going to confuse and tear up the church, as sure as the world, ’cause it’s not in God’s Word. It doesn’t flash on the Urim Thummim. Stay away from it. Amen.
God is true. God does signs, God does miracles. God… But we got a mixed multitude, brother. They seen the supernatural done; they’re trying to work up some anxiety and do something else. And the first thing you know the devil’s…?… gradually come in on that, till he slipped it off on the side, and now, applying it to salvation and healing. It’ll come to a place to where they’ll even make fire come right down out of heaven, the proof.

E-43     Listen. Let me show you what the Bible said. Paul said, “If an Angel from heaven come and preached any other Gospel than this what you’ve heard, let him be accursed.” He said, “Though I could speak with tongues as men and angels and have not love, I’m nothing.” Though I could have faith to move a mountain, bring blood from my hand, oils from my hand, or do anything else, I am nothing.
Anything he’d do in the line of that was nothing yet. He could give all of his goods to feed the poor; he could do all these different things; and yet he is nothing until that little main spring is come down in here to take his life just according to God’s Word. That’s right. I know that’s rough; that’s rugged; but it’s the Truth. So help me, Almighty God, it’s the Truth. See?
Now, I’ve told you the truth. I want you to believe the truth. I want you to know that God is here to confirm the Truth. God confirms His Word, but all… If His Word…

E-44     If the signs that’s following is not in God’s Word, then it’s a made up product of something else. What good would it do you? Divine healing’s of God; certainly it is. But Go… Divine healing is a finished product. That’s right. There’s nothing else you can do about; you’ve got to accept God, got to accept it and believe it on faith.
How do you come to Christ? Not because you boohooed at the altar, not because you cried all night, not because you sought God, because you never sought God. No man sought God at any time. Jesus said, “No man sought Him at any time. No man can come to Me except My Father draws him first, and all that My Father gives Me, comes to Me. (That’s right.) And he that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.”
Listen here. The Bible said, “He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me hath Everlasting Life,” without one sensation, without anything else. “He that heareth My words, and believeth on Him that sent Me has Everlasting Life.”

E-45     Now, you take that Everlasting Life and run to a Greek word to it and see if it ain’t, “Zoe.” “Zoe” is “God’s own life.” Ever who believes on Jesus Christ, I don’t mean intellectually believes, but with your heart believes on Jesus Christ, God’s Life comes into you and you got Eternal Life. And you pass from death to Life, and Christ said, “He will never come to the judgment, but I’ll raise Him up at the last day.”
Now, that’s God’s Word for it. Do you believe God’s Word or somebody else’s? Better take God’s Word for it. That’s right. For heavens and earth will pass away, but His Word won’t. So stay with God’s Word.
Let us pray. Oh, my little children, my poor friends of Phoenix, how many times have I been to Phoenix? Have I ever begged you for anything? Have I ever even asked you for one bite of food? Have I ever asked you to get me a place to stay and pay my way? No, sir, never. Have I ever asked you to follow me and let me build you a great big church here, and come stay with you? No, sir, I haven’t. I think you got ministers; you got churches. I only come to help you. God knows that’s right. I only come to help you; and that’s what I come for this time, to help you.

E-46     “Brother Branham, what do you think about these ministers that’s teaching that?” I believe they’re God’s servants; certainly I do. I believe that they’re men of God, I believe they’re fine preachers, can out-preach me any time. And God favors them, but they just got on the wrong road. That’s all. It’s just the wrong thing, brother. It isn’t in God’s Word; it doesn’t flash on the Urim Thummim. And there’s not a scholar in the world can place it on the Urim Thummim, sensibly, and run it through the Bible like you can on Divine healing and other things like that.
Then what am I here for? I’m here to help you. I’m here to try to get you to go back to your church, go back. And if you pastors are here and fell in error, repent, and go to your pulpit and say, “Church, we’re coming back to God.” And have an old fashion revival. And quit fussing with your neighbor across the other way. If he don’t believe just like you, shake hands with him, and be a brother anyhow.

E-47     Mix up yourselves together, and have union revivals; get preachers who stays with God’s Word, and not scattered about here. Read the Word. Some of you don’t read the Word once a week. You ought to read chapter after chapter every day. Meditate; if you’d get your head out of them old magazines and things you’re reading, and out of this old, so many papers, and so-called religious literature that oughtn’t to never be on the market… That’s just as bad as reading some of the other magazines, stuff that’s false doctrine, and all kinds of dogma, and basing it upon the–on truth. Why, doctrine can’t be based upon some experience. Doctrine is based on God’s Word, not on experience. People can have experiences of everything.
I’ve traveled into the jungles; I’ve seen the witch doctors, I’ve had them to challenge me, stand out there and do all kinds of things (the devil), watching how he would do, watch him take a stick and hold it in the air, lay it down and make it walk away, like a snake crawling. Turn back around, took a glass of wine, of water turned it to a purple-looking color like wine and wanted me to drink it. And then that same group said, “The Lord told them of all them sensations.” It finally comes to this, said, “Take your mother, and lay her down there and kill her, put her up on the body–upon the altar, and I’ll raise her up on the third day. For it’s written, ‘Present your bodies a living sacrifice,’ and you put your mother there. The authorities had to get him for killing his mother, certainly. Man come to himself, one with all these sensations.

E-48     Pouring wine to water, and stuff like that, and corn stalks walking away, all that kind of stuff is of the devil. Certainly it is. God don’t need nothing. You don’t need nothing to prove, but the Bible and the Holy Ghost, that’s here to vindicate resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I talked to a man no longer than a half hour, three quarters ago before I come to the meeting, raging like a maniac? Well, he thought he could do something too (See?), got on the wrong road. Come back to God, Church.

E-63     But take Jesus as your Point of contact, brother. See? Bring Him to you. You say, “Well, Brother Branham, if He was just here I’d touch Him.” The New Testament in the Book of Hebrews said that, He is now a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. You can touch Him right where you are. “How will I know it?” Just like it was then. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. Look up and touch Him. Watch Him turn back around and tell you just what you had need of.
Now, if He doesn’t do that, then the Word’s still right. I’m a false prophet. I’m a false teacher. But I am teaching the Word. And the Word is right. The Word is right. I make all kinds of mistakes, but the Word is never wrong. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

106     What’s the matter? Oh, it’s a meal ticket, “Well, you know, I’m the pastor of the biggest church there is in the city.” You Baptists and Methodists, listening to a false prophet. Now, that’s rough, but anything that teaches contrary to this Bible is a false prophet. I don’t care how polished it may be, it’s false prophecy. That’s right.

137     And now, in Galatians 1:8 Paul said, “If a angel from heaven comes, a bright shining angel…” What’s he speaking of? A revelation. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. It don’t matter how good your revelation is… You remember the first of our service this morning, the Urim Thummim? If something comes and reveals it perfectly, he’s a liar; he’s a false angel; and a man who packs his message is a false prophet.

95 I’ve seen a lot’s called discernment, I don’t believe in. But I know there’s truly a discerning Spirit of God, the gift of knowledge, that calls and speaks, and IT’S PERFECT EVERY TIME. We’re earnestly contending for that, that faith that was once delivered to the saints.
I know there’s dreams, and stomach-fulls of–of fresh meats, or are full of something another that cause you to have nightmares, and you jump up and call it a vision. But there’s a real genuine vision of God. That’s right. God promised it. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever… He does that, and IT NEVER FAILS. The Bible said, “If there be one among you who’s spiritual, or a prophet, and let him speak, and what he says, if it comes to pass, then hear him, for I’m with him; if it don’t, don’t hear him, ’cause he’s a false prophet.” God can’t lie. God tells the truth ALL THE TIME. Let it be so. Now, we find that that’s true.

And if It’s His Spirit of prophecy, the prophet always had THUS SAITH THE LORD. IT WAS ALWAYS RIGHT. And don’t question the doctrine, ’cause it–it’ll have to line with the Bible, if it’s God. God can’t say something, and then go back on it, and twist it around. It has to be the same thing all the time.

E-84     The God of heaven, who had all the prophets to speak of the coming of the Lord Jesus… And Jesus, when He come, He fulfilled every prophecy. Many of them was fulfilled at the cross: “Wounded for our transgressions,” and what David said, “My God has Thou forsaken me.” But when God sends a prophet, a prophet speaks, God makes that truth, if it’s God. That’s where He said to know them. If they spoke, “and what they said come to pass, then believe them, for I’m with them.” If it doesn’t, then it… they’re–they’re not. They’re false prophets. He said, “But to mark them, see whether it come to pass.”
Now, look. If God, Who spoke in the holy prophets, talked about the coming of the Messiah to the glory and honor of God… If I know who would be president next fall, and would tell it, that would be prophecy. That’s right. But God doesn’t prophesy like that, just to… oh, just to be playing. God does something to glorify Him. See?

5     I wonder today who’s going to be the next President? The election’s coming up, you know. Who’s going to be President this next term? What if I knew? There’s only One that does know, and that’s God. And what if God would reveal to me who’s going to be the next President, and I stood here in Phoenix and made a prediction that such-and-such a man would be the next President of the United States? And they would place that in papers and so forth, and I would hit it right on the dot. It would be perfect, and it would be all that I had said would come to pass. But what good would it do? What good is it anyhow if I–if I should do such a thing? The papers would advertise it, and it would go out maybe, if such a person could make such a prediction and it would be true, all the newspapers and magazines would–would pass on it.
6     But you know that God doesn’t do things like that; God doesn’t use His power and His gifts for foolishness. It’s going to be, whatever’s President, it’ll be President. And to know now which would be President wouldn’t help us one penny. It wouldn’t do us one bit of good to know who’s going to be President. So therefore, God doesn’t do those things like that.
And then if I made such a prediction as that, and it come to pass, and the newspapers packed it, and the magazines, then it would be to my glory. People’d say, “Look what a great prophet Brother Branham is. He told us long before it happened just who would be President.” And that would be to my glory. But God doesn’t want… He’s not interested in working things to my glory or to–to any other man’s glory. He’s interested to work things to His glory, something that will profit.
8     Like Paul said, “If we speak with tongues and do not have an interpreter, what good does it do? We only glorify ourselves,” and that’s–or “edify ourself.” That’s kinda out of the line for God. God wants to be edified Himself. And we’re to not seek self-edification, but to edify God with all we do.
So therefore, I believe this morning, if I knew who he would be and exactly when he would be elected, and oh, how many votes he’d be over or under, or whatever it might be, it wouldn’t do one bit of good to tell it. It’d be best for me just to keep it still if I did know it, not try to publish it, because there would be–there would be no reason for me to do it. ‘Cause it’s going to be anyhow, and it doesn’t make us that much difference who’s going to be President.
10     But God, when He uses His gifts, He uses them for His own glory, and for the glory of His people, for the glory of His church, for the edifying of the body of Christ, and for the glory of the Kingdom of God. That’s why He gives these things in His church, why He has teachers, prophets, evangelists, pastors. They are for the edification of the Church and for the glory of God. The prophet is not to get out and mingle with the world and try to take a gift like Balaam did and make havoc, or–or money out of it, or something. If he’s a prophet, he’s supposed to reveal God to the church and stay out of the things of the world. It’s all for the glory of God.
11     Now, we do have… And I think it’s a good thing for us, as ministers, to follow our order, when we see such things in the world as we see today. And we have an order from God, is for the discerning of spirit, trying the spirit. I believe that that is a very great lesson for the church today, is to try the spirit of anything, have discernment of the spirit. I do not think that we should ever, by any means, ever try to judge a person by the denomination they belong to, or by the group that they are assembled with, whether they be Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, or–or whatever they are. We should never judge the man by the denomination that he belongs to. We should always judge him by the spirit he has (See?), the spirit. Whether he’s latter rain or former rain or inner, outer rain, or no rain, or whatever it might be, we should never judge him by that, but by his spirit. We are to discern spirits. Watch what the man has in mind, what he has–what he’s trying to achieve. If the man, by a gift, no matter how great the gift is…
12     Now, I want to get this to the church this morning, which in the different denominations you are still the church of the living God together. And this is the thing I want to get to you (See?), that we are really not divided. We are the stones that’s cut in different forms, all to the glory of God.
Now, there is so much in the day that we live in pertaining to gifts. So many people judge people by gifts that they have. Well, I believe that these things are gifts. I believe that what we see take place is gifts, and they are God-given gifts. But we–if we do not use them in the right way that God intended them to be used, then we can do more harm with the gifts than we could if we did not have the gifts. The other night I made a statement at the pulpit, saying this, that I would rather see brotherly love existing among the church, if we didn’t have one case of healing or anything else. See, we must know what these things are for.
14     Now, if a man comes and he has a great gift, no matter if he belongs to our denomination or another denomination, don’t judge him by what denomination he come from, how he dresses, but what you want to see is what he’s trying to do with that gift, what purpose he has. If he’s trying to take his influence and build himself a great name out of it, I’d have discernment of spirit enough to know that’s wrong. No matter how great a teacher he is, how powerful he is, how intellectual he is, or how his gift operates, if he isn’t trying to achieve something for the benefit of the body of Christ, your own spiritual discernment would tell you that that’s wrong. No matter how accurate, how perfect, how it is, it’s wrong if it isn’t used for the body of Jesus Christ.
15     To achieve something, maybe he’s got a great gift that he could draw people together with a great intellectual or a spiritual power, that he could draw people together, and maybe he’s trying to take that gift and make hisself famous so that he’ll have a big name, so that other brethren will look up to him as some big person. Then that’s wrong. Maybe he’s trying to–to edify a certain thing here that he wants everybody else to get out of the picture and let him and his group be the picture. That’s still wrong. See?
16     But if he has a gift of God and he’s trying to edify the Body of Christ, then I don’t care what he belongs to. You’re not discerning the man, you’re discerning the spirit, the life that’s in the man. And that’s what God told us to do. Not one time was we ever commissioned to discern the–the man’s group. But we was constrained and commanded by God to discern the spirit in the man, what he’s trying to do, what the spirit in his life is trying to lead him to. And then if we can find out that he’s trying to lead the people (not to break them up, but to bring them together) and to bring the church of the living God, not all to one denomination, but to a understanding, a fellowship, a unity of spirit. Then if he is former rain or latter rain, or whatever it is, his spirit and his purpose is right. And the spirit that’s in him, no matter what move he belongs to, the Spirit that’s in him is trying to point the people to Calvary, away from himself or away from anything else, but his only achievement he has is to point them to Calvary. He doesn’t care whether he’s even knowed or not. He doesn’t care whether even his own movement… which is fine (See?), it’s good, if he is a Methodist, or a Presbyterian, or a Roman Catholic, or whatever he wants to be by denomination.
17     But what is he trying to do, the purpose of his heart that he’s trying to get? Then you can see what’s in the man’s life, whether his motives is for his–his denomination, whether it’s for hisself, whether it’s for worldly fame, whether it’s for big names, to say, “I predicted that, come just exactly to pass.” Now, you see that’s wrong right there, to begin with.

E-66     He told the Pharisees–those great clergymen of that day–said, “You can look at the sun, and it’s lowring, and you say, ‘Tomorrow it’s going to be foul weather; and if it’s clear tomorrow, it will be fair weather.'” Said, “You hypocrites! You’re supposed to be clergymen, and you can discern the things of the world better then you can discern the signs of the times.”
If that ain’t the truth today. Everybody interested in who will be President. I am too, but what difference does it make? I want to know Who will be King of eternity: Christ. That’s the main thing. I want to know about my nation. I’m interested in it; I’m an American. I’m interested in my nation. But brother, let that be second; my God is first. Yes, sir.

E-55     Now, if God doesn’t… God doesn’t do things just… If I could stand tonight and say, “I will tell you who will be president” and tell you just exactly, and it would be that way, why, after awhile you’d say, “Brother Branham’s a great prophet.” Sure, he told exactly who’d be president. But you know what? What good would it do? See? It wouldn’t glorify God any. That would glorify me. See? So God doesn’t do those things like that. God doesn’t do it. He just does things for His glory.
He–He lets the prophet enter into such a place till even the prophet sometimes thinks it’s himself. Like David in the 22nd Psalm cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” the very words that Jesus said at the cross. What was it? The Spirit of Christ in him had him anointed, and he spoke the Words of Christ. Look at the–at Isaiah, how he spoke and thought it was he, the Messiah was so in him. Look at David going up over the mountain, looking back over Jerusalem, weeping as a rejected king. Just a few hundred years after that, the Son of David went up a rejected King, looking back over Jerusalem weeping. “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how oft would I have hovered you as a hen does her brood, but you would not.” Think of it. Now, that’s the Spirit of God. Now, God uses His prophets to glorify Him. Do you believe that?

70 Moab had a false prophet, a bishop by the name of Balaam, who come down and got amongst the congregation, and try to get them to organize, and all come together, ’cause they were brethren. But they were not. They were half-brothers, not real brothers. If in your heart…
71 “Don’t disagree with him. Just go ahead, leave him alone. Pay for what you get, if you have to pass through his country.” He was predestinated to be that. If God would expected or predestinated Moab to join up with Israel, they’d have joined up. If He had predestinated Esau to go with Israel, Esau would have jumped in and went. But He give him his inheritance on the other side the river.
72 So how can you try to make all the Lutherans see It, all the Baptists see It, all the Presbyterians, and Nazarenes, and Pilgrim Holiness? Don’t condemn them. That’s all they know. That’s all that’s in them.
73 But to you who believe (O God!), to you who know, to you that’s got something in you, that’s calling to the Deep. If all the deep you’ve got has been satisfied, then stay where you are. But for me and my house, for me there’s something more than what we’ve seen. There’s a Land beyond the river, somewhere. There’s still a deep calling to the Deep. I cannot be satisfied with theology. I cannot be satisfied with a good church. I cannot be satisfied with a good campaign. I cannot be satisfied with a little healing service. There is something beyond that, that’s calling.
74 So, just let them alone. Go on through. Don’t argue with them. But we’re passing to another Land. They wasn’t ordained to go with you. They won’t walk with you. How can two walk unless they be agreed? But to those who love God, to those who were called of God.

And the little church, I admonish you in the Name of the Lord Jesus to grow in the grace of God, hold yourself steady and look towards Calvary all the time, taking all the roots of bitterness out of your heart and soul, that God might use you at any time. If you ever feel to do something, or a revelation or something comes to you strangely, something warningly or something, be careful! Satan is as sly and slick as he can be. See? Put it with the Word of God and consult your pastor. See?
10     And you find gifts and so forth creeping up in the church, and the operation of these gifts. Before you let it go to operating and things, first… Feel it pressing on your heart… Now, the enemy is real slick. See? And that’s just what tears the churches to pieces every time, is a true gift operated wrong. See? Something God is trying to do, and operated wrong, it’ll just–it’ll just simply… Not only hurt you, but it’ll tear the whole church up. See? Consult it, take it through and through the Bible, then test it and see if it’s God or not. Just keep testing it and trying, see if it’s perfect right down the line and right with the Word. Then you’re all right, see.
As long as the Word has said it would be here, would operate this certain way, stay right with it. Don’t never get off, no matter what anybody does, how real it seems to be. If it doesn’t reflect in the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, leave it alone. Don’t take no chances, we’re in the last days when Satan is just deceiving as he can be.

49     Someone said, “Well, Brother Branham, did you go up to seek? You ought to have went up to seek a vision from the Lord.”
I said, “No, you don’t go… You don’t do it that way. You can’t pull nothing out of God.”
See, that’s the reason people keep saying, on interviews, saying, “Ask the Lord. Just stay with it. Just stay with it.”
I had a word of the Lord to take to Brother Neville, about prophesying over everyone comes by this altar here. God told him, really called him down about it. See? Don’t do that; you’ll shove him out in the flesh and then you’ll have a false prophet. See? See, let him do just as the Spirit leads him to do. See?
Don’t–don’t try to pull nothing out of God, ’cause you can’t do it. He’ll only speak… Like Balaam, the hireling prophet, said, “I can only speak what God puts in my mouth. Otherwise, I can’t say it.”
And that’s the same thing, I like this system they got now, so that I can find out what, just what the Lord would have do. That’s very good.
54     But Jesus went to the wilderness to fast after the Holy Ghost had come upon Him. “John bare record, seeing the Spirit of God come upon Him.” And He was filled with the power of God, God in Him, and then He went into the wilderness to fast afterwards, not before, for the Holy Ghost to come on Him, but He went in and fasted after the Holy Ghost came on Him. See?

You got your Bible. You that just take a church joining by shaking a hand, you that take your letter from one to another, and claim that you’re borned again of the Spirit of God? How can you do it, and then look in the face of God’s Word and call yourself a borned again Christian, when you’re dead to the church, you’re dead to the creeds, you’re dead to the world, you’re dead to everything else but God, and God is the Word? There you are.
Let’s see. They take every kind of a spirit. Oh, they got church spirits; they got all kinds of spirits. Now, listen closely.
118     Prophets… The Word of God comes to the prophet. The Bible said so. Now, in closing, I’ve just got couple more comments here or so I want to pass and then I’m going to cut off.
The Word of the Lord come to the prophets. What come to the prophets? The Word of the church came to the prophets? [Congregation replies, “No”–Ed.] The word of the creed came to the prophet? [“No”–Ed.] The Word of the Lord. What was it? The prophet revealed the Word of God. See? That’s prophets, real prophets. Now, we got false prophets; we’re getting to them just in a minute. But the true prophet, the true Word came to the true prophet. It couldn’t be nothing else. Now, a creed didn’t come to the prophet; a denomination didn’t come to the prophet. No. But the Word of the Lord came to the prophet, and he revealed It to the people. The true prophet had the true Word.
119     How do you test a true prophet? When he’s got the true Word. Then if it isn’t a true Word, it’s got to be a false one. If it says something different from this Word, and this Word is God’s Word, let every prophet’s Word be a lie and God’s Word be true. And if that Word is coming from the prophet, is the Word of God, then he’s a true prophet, because the Word come to the prophets, true prophets. We’ve always had false ones. True prophets, the true Word. False prophets, false word, “our creeds, our denominations; join this; say this; believe this; do this”…
120     But the true Word comes to the true prophet, and he tells you the true Word. You follow that true Word, and you get a true experience of the Word, because the Word is made flesh in you, and you become God’s son, and the Word of God is revolving right out of God into you, because you are of His Nature, His Spirit is in you, and you’ll do the works of God. Hallelujah. The Bible said so. Oh, my.
121     False prophets bring false words. What do they do? Have false sensations. False prophets keep enough of the true Word to be false. They used to didn’t do it, but the Bible said… You want to put down Scripture on that? Second Timothy 3. See? The false prophet has enough of the true Word to make it false, because the Bible said that they’d have a form of godliness. In order to have a form of godliness, they have to have some of it as Truth. “A form of godliness, but deny the power thereof,” the power of what? To make you straighten up, be a different, serve God, not go to dances and things of the world, the Bible condemns, not cut your hair. Like, false prophets say that, “Don’t make any difference.”

E-51     Now. Now, if there is true prophecies… Now, we learn after that Scripture over in Matthew 24, we know there is both true and false. We know that. Every time you see true, false is there also. Remember.
What is–what is a–what is a lie? It’s a truth perverted. It was actually the truth, and somebody misquoted it, made it a lie. What is a wrong thing? Is a right thing perverted. See? Everything… The devil cannot create nothing. And everything’s wrong, the devil perverted what was right to make it wrong. And if there is a real Word of God; there is a so-called word of God that’s false. That’s right. If there is a true prophet… Matthew 24 Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets.” So there’s false prophets, as same as there’s true prophets.
E-52     But the true prophet, how you’ll mark him, he will stay with the Word always. That’s exactly what Micaiah done. He stayed exactly with the Word of the Lord, ’cause the Word of the Lord… He knowed it was the Word. It come to the prophet. Now, we feel religious. See, see? The Word of the Lord, It stands no matter what goes on. Churches rise, fall; people rise, fall; everything else, rise and fall, but God’s Word will never fall, for It’s God. It’s God in printed form. That’s right.

65     So many confuse things! The people get up, they don’t know the Word, and they say things, and maybe it sounds very reasonable. Communism is a very reasonable thing, “Everybody the same. There’s no more capitalists, they’re all Communists.” Did you ever stop to think that that’s a false revival, Communism is? And where did he pattern it all after? The… Jesus said, “The two spirits would be so close, it would deceive the Elected if possible.” And everything the devil’s got, it’s a perversion of what God created. Sin is–is righteousness perverted. A lie is the Truth misrepresented. Adultery is–is, an act that God ordained us to, perverted. All unbelief is the perversion of belief. You have to deny the Truth in order to take the–the perversion. See, straighten out these voices, test them by the Word and see if it’s Truth.

202     Now, but in the age after the Church goes home, he becomes a beast. He becomes the devil incarnate, the red dragon himself. Oh, my. Can’t you see what I mean? He’s incarnate in his people then. He’s got his people bound by his power. The false prophet has prophesied them right into it, give them over to strong delusions to believe a lie and be damned by it, denying the Word with a form of godliness.
God works His place in a trinity: justification, sanctification and incarnate Himself in His people with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Same thing. The devil’s just in a type after Christ. Oh, Satan incarnates himself.
205     Now, watch. Satan… When Jesus incarnates Himself in His people, the very Life that was in Christ is in this person. What would it do if you took the life out of a grapevine and put it in a pumpkin vine? It wouldn’t bear pumpkins no more; it’d bear grapes. See? What if you took the life out of a peach tree and put it in a pear tree? Would it bear pears? No, bear peaches. The life tells what it is. See?
When you say–hear people say they got the Holy Ghost and deny this Word, there’s something wrong. The Holy Ghost wrote that Word. And Jesus said this: “If a man has My Spirit in him, he will do My works.” You want to read that? If you want to put it down, it’s Saint John 14:12. Yeah. All right. “He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also, even more than this shall he do, for I go to the Father.” See?
Then He sanctifies and cleans him so he can stand before God. That drop of ink falls there and takes him across the chasm. See?
209     Now, watch. Satan, when he incarnates himself in his subjects, they do the work that he did. Don’t you see? What did he do? Come right to that innocent woman to deceive her. And that’s exactly what some of these devils do: come right into a place, and say, a little pastor gets started out somewhere come in and say, “Oh, if you just join up with us…” See? The same devil work. Now, that’s the Truth.
And when Satan become incarnate into his church, if there be a devil, then they are the ones that does the murdering and killing and so forth, because Satan is a killer in the first place, a liar and a… See?
All right, what does Satan do when he does, when he becomes incarnate amongst the people? It’s his duty to be shrewd. He is shrewd. You search the Bible, and you show me where God ever dealt with intellectual people. Hunt for it and see if it isn’t always the intellectuals that’s devil-possessed. It’s a big word, but it’s true. I challenge you to take the–the lineage from Abel to Cain, and them fourteen generations, run them out, and see which ones was on the smart side and which ones was the humble ones.

132     Now notice when Moses went down to Egypt, with a message of THUS SAITH THE LORD, and was vindicated; called on Israel, which was a people, not a church. Israel was a people; they never was a church. Cause, the word church means “called-out ones.” They were the people of God. Then when they become anointed under the Word, and called out, they become the church of God. And then backslid, because they believed not the Word of God, and listened to a false prophet. I hope that sinks in.
Israel, being a people of God, come out under the hand of God, anointed with the Word… with the Power of God, seen the signs and wonders of God. And then when God was moving on with them, a false prophet come in, anointed, and taught something contrary to the original Word of God that they had heard; and every one of them perished in the wilderness, besides three people.

22     Now, seeing all this accumulation of evidence, that the hour that we now live in, I think it’s a good thing to rehearse these things and to draw them out, since the Seals has been opened, and find out the truth of these things, as God has been so loyal to us, with His grace, to show us these things.
23    I want you to notice here in Matthew 24, Jesus used the term of “Christs,” C-h-r-i-s-t-s, “Christs.” Not Christ, but “Christs,” plural, not singular. “Christs.” Therefore, the word Christ means “the anointed One.” And then if it’s “anointed,” there will be not only one, but many, anointed, “the anointed ones.” See?
24    Otherwise, if He wanted to break it down so we would more or less understand it better, He would say, “In the last days there shall rise false, anointed ones.” Now, that seems almost impossible, see, the terms of “anointed.” But notice the very next words, “and false prophets,” p-r-o-p-h-e-t-s, plural.
25     Now, anointed one, is, “one with a message.” And the only way the message can be brought out is by one that’s anointed, and that would be a prophet, anointed. “There shall rise false, anointed teachers.” A prophet teaches what his message is. Anointed teachers, but anointed people with false teaching. Anointed ones, “Christs,” plural; “prophets,” plural. And if there is such a thing as a–a Christ, singular, then these would have to be “anointed ones,” that their prophecy of what they were teaching would be the difference, because they are anointed ones, anointed.
26     Now, it’s a Sunday school lesson, we want to–to try to bring this to a real showdown, by the Scriptures, not by what someone else has said about it, but just reading the Scriptures.
You may say, “How can this be? Would the anointed ones…”
27    What were they? “Christs,” C-h-r-i-s-t-s, anointed. “Christs, and false prophets.” Anointed ones, but false prophets!
Jesus said, that, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust.”
28    Now, someone might say to me, “Do you believe that that anointing on those people means that it’s the anointing of the Holy Spirit?” Yes, sir, the genuine Holy Spirit of God upon a person, and yet they are false.
Now listen close and see what He said. “And they shall show signs and wonders, insomuch that it would deceive the very Elected if it were possible.” And they are anointed with the genuine Holy Spirit. I know this sounds very foolish, but we’re going to take time and explain it by the Word, that that’s absolutely THUS SAITH THE LORD, the Truth.
37     Notice, it’s a very strange thing here. See? When them seed went in the ground, however they got there, they were thorns to begin with. But there the wheat that went in the ground, and the herbs, were herbs to begin with. And each herb producing itself, over again, showed that it was in the original beginning.
38    “And they will deceive the Elected if it were possible,” ’cause they’re getting the same rain, same blessing, showing the same signs, same wonders. See? “They will deceive, or shall deceive the Elected if it were possible.” Now, a thorn cannot help being a thorn, and neither can wheat help being a wheat; it’s what the Creator of each one determined at the beginning. That’s the Elected. The same rain!

182     Look at the last days. “It’d be so close it’d deceive the very Elected if it was possible.” Oh, my! The reason the Elected won’t be deceived, you know why? Is because they are the Word. See? Just like the Life that’s in the root, I said a while ago, It can’t deny Itself. See, It is the Word and in the season of the Word. That’s right.
183    Just like Jeremiah, he knew. No matter what Hananiah said, he knowed where he was at. And that’s exactly like Moses did, and–and the rest of them. That’s, he knowed, no matter what the false prophet said, there was the Word of God. It was written.

186     The reason the Elected, Jesus said, won’t be deceived, because they are that Word. They can’t be nothing else. They can’t hear nothing else. They don’t know nothing else. That’s right.
Remember, Moses wasn’t carried away with all their impersonations. Was he? Moses said, “Now, wait a minute, Pharaoh. You know what? The Lord told me to do this, but, glory to God, I see that your boys can do the same thing. So, tell you what I’ll do, I’ll join up with you”? Huh! That don’t sound like a prophet of God. No, indeed! He stood just as firm as he could stand. He knowed, exactly, God would take care of it somehow, ’cause He promised to. “I’ll be with you. I’ll not leave you.”
187     He knowed, so he didn’t join up with them. Oh, no. He stayed right with them. He didn’t want none of their denominations. He stayed right with God. He wasn’t carried away by all the things they could do. When they did one thing… He brought lice; they brought lice. He brought blood; they brought blood. He brought everything; they impersonated him every way, right along. He just stood still. He knowed exactly what. God was on the job.
You understand now? [Congregation says, “Amen.”–Ed.] You take two and two, and make four? [“Amen.”] You don’t want to scorch too hard. So, so you–you understand, see.
188    Why? They won’t be deceived by it. The real believer, they are predestinated Seed that should stand in the day.
189     Just, also, Jesus said this, “Many will come in that day, in My Name, and say, ‘Lord, have not I cast out devils in Thy Name?'” Jesus said, “At the end days, when the time is all over and the great resurrection come, that many will come and set down in the Kingdom.” The Kingdom of God is within you.
Many, the weeds will come and set right down with the Wheat, say, “Now, wait a minute, Lord! I spoke in tongues. I shouted. I danced in the Spirit. I cast out devils. I spoke with tongues. I done all these things.”
What’d He say? Notice. “You workers of iniquity, I never even knew you.”
190     What is iniquity? Ask somebody. It’s “something that you know you ought to do, and you won’t do it.” They know that Word. They hear It. You’re listening to this tape. You’re listening to this Message. You see the Lord God say so; you see Him confirm it, make it true. And you know This just as plain as the sun is shining outside, but you that’ll hold onto your denomination, hold onto those false things; you worker of iniquity!
“Oh, yes, I had great campaigns. I done this. I done that.”
Said, “You depart from Me, you worker of iniquity, I never knew you.”
191    “Well, the Holy Ghost fell on me.” I don’t doubt that a bit. “I spoke in tongues. I sang in the Spirit. I done…” I don’t doubt that a bit. No question to that. Oh, brother, sister, what kind of a condition!
This is a trembling time. Where we at? This Word is coming to Life now.

The Great Archangel

JUDE 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

DANIEL 10:13,21
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

DANIEL 12:1-10

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

13 ¶ But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

143     O Father, if death shall come to us before that time and… I mean the natural death of this earth, separation here, may we enter the chambers with a gallant faith, wrapping the robe of Christ around us, the Holy Ghost. Someday we got to come down there, Father. And I realize I got to walk that line too. It’s right out there before me somewhere, that hour that I enter that death chamber. When I hear my sentence read, I don’t want to go like a coward. I want to go like You went, Lord. Not try to wrap the old robe around, but wrap the robe of Christ, the Holy Ghost, around me, as Paul did, and say, “Death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory?” enter that dark chamber among those who are dead, listening then for His voice of the Archangel that shall sound, and we’ll be called out from among the dead, to meet our loved ones again.

E-52           What’s the matter today, we got… Our churches has got away from It. It’s exactly right. Reminds me of what we try to do is build a big fine church, put fine pews, get the very best of this, and somebody to sing like angelic choir. See them stand up on a platform, sing with painted-up faces and everything else, and sleeves up around their–their arms like this, and their naked knees almost showing; go out on the street and light up cigarettes. And call the angelic choir? What’s the matter with you women and men? Call yourself Christian. Act like it then. By their fruits you shall know them. But we compromise.
Remember, beauty from the eye is what Satan does. In the beginning, he… Way back in the beginning, he tried to make a better place than what Michael had. Down, he come down into Cain, tried to use the same thing, yet he offered God a sacrifice. He done the same thing that Abel did, but without the blood. True.

E-22           And remember, in glory the first thing that ever caused the first sin, that Satan wanted a little better things than what Michael had, went over and set himself up a–a better, beau–more beautiful kingdom. See? That’s beauty. Here it falls right down into his son, Cain, coming right on down. And he decorated his altar, beautiful.

E-5           When I was a little boy, I–I was Irish. Of course, my conversion didn’t change that too much. And I…
Someone said, “Do you think there’s any chance for an Irishman?”
I said, “Yes. There’s one of them in heaven, Michael.” And so I–I said, “It’s…” So I know there’s a chance then for me.

E-34     Oh my, I can see our Master when He come with that blackness behind Him and saying: that He was an illegitimate child. But God sent a warning always before the coming. He sent a man by the name of–of John the Baptist. He was a great forerunner of Jesus. God always sends a forerunning before some great event. Whenever you see angels will come to the earth… For instance, maybe the Angel that deals with God’s humble servant here. That’s a minor, no doubt, Angel of healing, or something. Or the Spirit of some great something that’s–that’s here, one of God’s attributes. I do not know Who He is.
But when you hear of Gabriel coming to the earth, something’s going to happen then. Gabriel announced the first coming of Jesus, and He will announce the second coming of Jesus. Gabriel, the great Archangel Who stands in the Presence of His Majesty

E-41     Notice. Then they had it all figured out just how it was to be. But God has never had Hisself, left Hisself without a testimony. Now, before the coming of Jesus… Let’s take God sent Gabriel down from glory.
Now, you can hear of minor Angels coming. But when Gabriel comes, something major’s on the road. When Gabriel comes… He’s the Archangel. And there’s something great fixing to happen.
Listen. Gabriel announced the first coming of Christ, and Gabriel will announce the second coming of Christ. There you are. For He will sound the trumpet of God. All right.
The first coming… Let’s take–go back a little bit in some drama. I can see an old priest by the name of Zacharias, wonderful old character. Him and his wife Elisabeth, good people, served the Lord with all their heart. And he–mission at the temple was to burn incense over the altar while the people were praying. And they were keeping all the laws and the statutes of God, walking before God, blameless.

E-54           This is the way heaven will be, there’ll be Germans, Finns, Italians, and even the Irish will be there. Amen. I said, “I know there’s one there; they call him Michael.” All right.

E-19     Now, notice this, that this Angel was Gabriel. Now, these minor Angels come; but when you see or hear of Gabriel coming, you get ready for something major fixing to happen. Gabriel was the One Who announced the first coming of Jesus Christ. Is that right? And we’re taught in the Bible that Gabriel will announce the second coming. He’ll sound the trumpet of God (Is that right?), the coming of the Lord, the Angel of God, Gabriel, Who stands at the, God’s right hand.
Now, this great Gabriel come down in here, with the priest swinging his incense here, burning it, while the people was out praying. He was standing at the altar. And he looked over on the al–the side of the altar, and there stood the great Archangel.

E-32           Satan got the same idea and wanted a more beautiful kingdom than Michael, when he went over and set up his kingdom in the north. That’s the nature of him. Here’s his own boy down here with his same nature.
Cain, there he was. He goes up there and builds this altar. He goes out, probably, and gets the great big calla lilies off of that ground that had just recently been cursed, placed them all over the altar.
Puts you in a mind of a good–of one of these modern churches today. On Easter, everybody comes to church. They buy a little Easter flower and lay them on the altar, all along. God don’t want the Easter flower on the altar; He wants you on the altar. The altar was made for man, not for flowers.
E-33           But what’s the matter today, you’ve took the altar out of the church, and put it down in the basement. And the only fire you got on the–left, is in the basement. Hallelujah. What we need’s an old upper room experience, where God pours out His Holy Ghost power and fire, like He did in the beginning.
But all we got today is what we’ve got in the furnace, the iron. Pentecost is getting as bad. Now, that’s the truth.
Now, I notice. Here is what God did. Cain comes up. He offers in his offering. Now, if God only requires a church membership, Cain had it. If God requires sincerity, Cain had it. And then if God requires a sacrifice, Cain did it.
E-34           And then, after he got his sacrifice, his altar, his church, everything ready, beautiful, probably a lot more beautiful than Abel’s was… But God doesn’t dwell in beauty made by hands. The beauty of holiness is where God dwells in, where the power of the Holy Spirit

E-60           Yeah, Cain was a justified if God only required that, but God rejected him, because his spirit only looked to a thing temporal. He was the nature of his daddy. His daddy wanted a great, big, beautiful church in heaven better than Michael. He got kicked out of heaven, for here’s his nature down here beautifying the altar. And here it is yet today. Why, they make a big fine churches.

E-54           Oh, my. You get away from all this here dignity. I can prove to you that dignity, the devil is the pappy of every bit of it. In the beginning he wanted something more–more glamorous, and everything than what Michael had. He went over and set him up a kingdom, and that’s what polluted heavens, if he’d have stayed there, and God kicked him out. He’s been dignifying the church ever since. It’s the truth. God doesn’t dwell in dignities; He dwells in simple sincere hearts. Hallelujah.

115           And now in Josephus, his writings, he said… Now, here was his interpretation of these “sons of God” that take daughters of men. He said that the fallen spirits that were on the earth…
Now, you know the–in the Revelations the 11 chapter–or–or the 7th… No, beg your… 12th chapter of Revelations, the woman standing in the sun… “The red dragon put his tail around two thirds of the stars and pulled them to the earth.” We realize that Satan in the beginning set up a kingdom in the northlands to be more beautiful than what the–than what the Michael was, and there was a day he declared war in heaven. And he pulled two thirds of the angelic beings with him. Is that right?
That’s the reason we’re only a minority. I mean the–the–the side–the small side of the people this morning, in the Christian realm, the Holy Ghost born people, because they are in the–the–the little part. That’s right.
118           And if you watch the spirits that come up out of Genesis and begin to raise up, watch that real classical, high classical church worship. Look at it back yonder in Cain; look at it today. Comes right down in, moves on down through into the Pharisees. And there’s two sects of them: Pharisee and Sadducee. See, moves right on out, and look at it today in Catholicism and great moves like that, great beautiful places.
But look at Abel with the little lamb (See?), just a common… Look at it in the days of Jesus. Look at it all the way down through the Scripture as you move it up, see how it is. We’re living right then in that day that when God has called His church all the way down through, that little streak, little red streak that’s come right down through the Bible all the way of the Blood-washed people.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought against the… his angels,…
E-68            The dragon… Who was the dragon? [Congregation says, “Satan.”–Ed.] Satan. And what nation did it represent? [Congregation says, “Rome.” –Ed.] And he had angels. Didn’t the Bible say that in the last days that the ministering spirits of the Devil would be like flaming angels? But if they speak not according to This, let them alone. The Devil will transform his messengers into angels of light and organize right back just exactly like Rome did. Brother, sister, I don’t see where you could find a loophole in that. God has just got it all walled up there, right here in His Word. There it is. And He said He did. Now, watch.
E-69             And Michael, the archangel, the great one that stands in the Presence of God, and His angels, fought against Satan and his angels, the red dragon. And that was the Church that’s led by the Holy Spirit and the angels of God, fought against the organization and it’s angels and ministers of light. See how it’s just perfect? If they’re speaking, not of something up into glory; it’s speaking of spiritual beings in Rome: the red dragon that stood before the woman to devour her child.

E-74            Now, you see where he’s roaring about so deceitful, acting like a–a–a… organized hisself up, and bringing people, and polish it up. Did you know where polish, and all that, first come from? It originated by the Devil, in the heavens, where the Devil, the first thing he wanted, was to make a kingdom that outshined Michael, big. Watch Cain, his son: When Cain come into existence, he fixed his altar, as it was on Easter morning, with beautiful flowers. He fixed it all pretty and put the very polished fruit and laid that upon the altar, and made everything so pretty. He said, “Surely, God will receive that. Isn’t it beautiful?”
Look at that same nature in church today. See? “Won’t God receive us if I… if our pastor has a–a degree, if he knows how to speak very fluently, good English and a–a eloquent speaking man? Won’t the best class of the city come to us? Look at our great shrine, look at our great crosses, look at our fine pew, look at our thousands of dollars’ organ, and look at all these things here that we got, and a nice polished… and our deacons are the businessmen of the city. Surely, they’ll come to us.” The same old Devil. When God looked down, he said, “There’s nothing in it.” That’s right.

E-26           Notice this now, as we go along. Now, Cain came and made his sacrifice. And by the way, God don’t want lilies on the altar. He wants sinners on the altar. God don’t want your lily; He wants you. You’re the person needs to be on the altar. And anyhow, and all this today…
And we’ve noticed that Satan in the beginning, in the origin, back in the initial condition, he was full of pomp. He wanted something, a better kingdom than Michael, so he goes over to the north and sets him up a kingdom, greater, more beautiful.
Don’t you see how beauty is deceitful? And how our churches today are seeing who can build the biggest church, who can make the best pews, who can make–get the best-dressed crowd, the more honorable people among the city to come… That’s all of the devil. You may be angry with me after this, but when I meet you at judgment, you’ll know that I’ve spoke to you in the Name of the Lord. That’s right.
E-27           We can’t humble ourselves any more. We got to have the big, the refined, and the best, and everything like, and knowing that those things comes from Satan, always have been. It was in heaven. That’s the reason he was kicked out. That’s what he’s doing here on earth, taking the churches and deceiving them. God doesn’t dwell in big buildings; He doesn’t dwell among fine dressed peoples;, He doesn’t have to have that. God wants a humble heart to dwell in. Amen.
And it’s too bad that we, the holiness people, Pentecostal people, is getting so starchy, till we’ve forgot about that. Amen. I’m not amening myself, but “amen” means “so be it.” I believe it.

E-32            Notice, Christ, the Hope of Glory.
Now, when this man, Cain, come up and worshipped the Lord, he worshipped him in beauty. If you’ll notice, the very beauty begin in the Devil. He went to the north, and set him up a kingdom to outshine Michael. The Devil has always dealt in beauty.
And today, in some of these great big, fine churches (and some of these little, old preachers standing down on the corner here, in a little mission in the corner), they call them a bunch of nit-wits and holy-rollers; and don’t know that that’s the Church of the living God, standing down there, and in those little missions and things.
And we set in great, fine, plush seats, and pipe organs, in all of our dignities and put-on, and not realize that the very beginning of that is the Devil. That’s right.
That might make you a little bit sick, but it’ll do you good. If you, don’t make you sick, it don’t do you any good.

127           You notice, they paint the pictures of a–of an angel woman. There’s not such a thing. Show me one place in the Scripture. Every Angel is men, not women. Angel women, mother Marys, and all these things like that, there’s no such a thing. Find one place in the Scripture where it ever said there was a woman Angel. It’s always, “He,” Michael, Gabriel. “He drawed His sword.” It’s always, “He, He, He, He.” That’s right.
Woman was made for man, not men for women. Sure. But they’d, how they…
That’s just what the devil took the woman in the garden of Eden for his instrument. He’s still using her. That’s right. Not the converted, not the converted, the woman that’s a Christian, and a good woman is the best thing that a man could find outside of salvation. But one that ain’t no good is the worst thing he could find outside… That’s right.
Solomon said that a good woman was a jewel in a man’s crown, but an unrighteous one was water in his blood. His blood’s his life. And how much more could he have than water in his blood? It would kill him.

E-31           Now, “At this time…” He said. “And at that time,” the 12th chapter…
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince that standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such was never since there was a nation even to that time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Oh, my. Aren’t you glad your name is on His Book? When He’s… Daniel over here saw Him come to the Ancient of Days, Whose hair was as white as wool. And He opened up the Books, and they were judged, every man out of the Books: the great white throne judgment.
E-32           Now, Daniel is given this assurance, that at the end of the Gentile dispensation… Read the–when you go home, tomorrow read the 11th chapter. You can see how the king of the north is coming down (which is nothing else but Russia), coming down to press against it like a whirlwind. And the great battle of Armageddon will be fought right there near the gates of Jerusalem.
Notice, oh, I love this.
… and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that’s been found written in that book… (the Lamb’s Book of Life.)
Michael, the great prince, shall stand up. For what? For thy people. All right.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake… (When? When these times take place.)… and some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contemptment.
E-33           Just as sure as there’s an Everlasting Life, there’s an everlasting departure. It determines on how you treat Jesus Christ in your life. If you love Him, and borned again and got His Spirit, you’ve got Everlasting Life. If you don’t, you have not Everlasting Life. If your name is written on the Lamb’s Book of Life, you have immortal Life. If it’s not written there, you’ll not be recognized. What is it? All those prophesies are fulfilled, everything right down to this time.
E-34           The head of gold has passed away as Daniel said it would, the Babylonian kingdom. Succeeding that He said would be the Medes and Persian. They succeeded the Babylonian kingdom, and they fell away to who? The Grecians, Alexander the Great. And they fell away, to what? The Romans. And the Romans broke up to all the world, the eastern and western Rome, the two legs. And he said iron and clay was on the toes, the ten toes, the ten kingdoms. And he said they wouldn’t mix, and they’d intermarry among one another, Romanism and Protestantism. And in that day when this thing exists, then the Stone was hewed out of the mountain without hands and rolled in and broke the thing to pieces. And it took the place of the image.
E-35           So, my brethren, we’re having troubles tonight: wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes in divers places, perplexed of time, distress between nations. I’ve just come back from overseas, and I haven’t seen a nation but what’s trembling in their shoes. They don’t know what’s going to take place next. But aren’t we thankful tonight that we do know what’s going take place next? The Lord Jesus Christ shall come the second time in glory and majesty, and every man or woman that’s found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall rise with their loved ones to meet the Lord in the air. Oh, what a marvelous thing. That’s the reason we say our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ Blood with righteousness. All around my soul gives way, He’s all our hope and stay.
E-36           “And at that time Michael shall stand, the great prince.” Michael was Christ, of course, Who fought the angelic wars in heaven with the devil. Satan and Michael fought together, or fought against each other, rather. And now… “And at that time,” He said, “as many was found written in the book was delivered, and those who had done righteous

E-17           If you’ll notice, just about the time that Jesus came on the scene, Judas came on the scene, the antichrist, the one was against Christ. I want you to notice the natures of these spirits now. Judas, was a religious man. He was not an infidel. And all of us know that he was the antichrist. He worked the very closest hand to Christ, His right hand man.
Did you know that in heaven, that the devil was God’s right hand man in the beginning, that Lucifer, the son of the morning, was given power? And the reason that he brought sin into the world, he was able to take something that God had created, and pervert it back into an evil thing, which started all this trouble in the beginning. Then God, back before the foundation of the world was ever laid, when He seen what Satan done… In his pride went over in the north, and set up a kingdom, and fought against Michael and his Angels… Do you see it?

E-18           The Bible said, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof is the ways of death.” So just worship and confession doesn’t make you a Christian. No. If he was, God would’ve never condemned Cain.
Now notice, Cain liked beauty. He made his altar pretty, brought the fruits of the field on it. Beauty is deceitful. That’s what started the trouble in heaven. The devil wanted more beautiful kingdom than Michael. But he was kicked out. Now, you see the spirit of the devil was in Cain, a religious man, confessing his faith in God, but worshipping God, and was condemned of the devil.

E-22.You know, there’s a wonderful thing. God don’t tell His prophets everything. He just tells them what He wants them to know, not everything. They can’t do nothing in themselves. Just what God shows them, that’s what they do.

Could you imagine Isaac setting blind and blessing Jacob in the stead of Esau? Could you imagine Jacob holding Joseph’s coat for forty years, bloody, thinking that an animal killed it, and being a prophet?

Proves God just reveals to His prophets that what He wants them to know, nothing else. Prophets are not infallible people. Prophets are not Angels. They are men.

114             God must have first place in your heart, first place in your life, first place in everything that you do or what you are. God must be first. He doesn’t want the second place. He doesn’t deserve the second place. He deserves the best, and the first, and all that we’ve got. He deserves it. Blessed be His holy Name!
For God also bearing… witness, he gave testimony, both with signs and wonders,… divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
115    Not what men say, what the church said, but what God’s will was. Oh, we need to seek the will of God, not the favor of your neighbor, not the favor of your children, not the favor of your husband or your wife. But, seek the will of God, and do that first. Then everything else, the will of the wife and the will of the children, will fall right in with it. But, place God first.
116             Watch, now.
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
117    Otherwise, the great Angels that ministers in the Heavens, Gabriel, Michael, Woodworm, and the tens of thousands times tens of thousands of Angels of Heaven; or the tens of hundreds of prophets that’s been on the earth, every one of them; He’s never put any of them to have control over the world to come, that we speak of. Not a one! He never said, “Isaiah, you’ll control the world.” He never put the world in subjection to Elijah. Neither did He put it to Gabriel, or any angel, any ministering spirit.

190           Now, let’s take back to Cain. Could you tell me where that spirit and that meanness come from? If Cain… Look, if Cain was the son of Adam, which was a son of God, where did that evil come from? The first thing when he was born, he hated; he was a murderer; he was jealous. And now, take the nature of his daddy, the very start in the beginning, Lucifer, and he was… In the beginning he was jealous of Michael, what started the whole trouble. How many knows that? And Cain was the nature of his father, which he was jealous of his brother and slew him. That pure… That nature could not come out of that pure seed. It come, had to come out of this perverted stream. And notice, Cain, as soon as he was borned…
And then Abel was born after him, then she conceived by Adam, and he knew–knew her and she brought forth the son Abel. And Abel was a type of Christ; and when–when Abel was killed, Seth took his place: death, burial, and resurrection of Christ in type.
192           But now, Cain worshipped, all of his carnal works, just like the carnal church today, they go to church; they worship. Cain worshipped; he wasn’t an infidel; he wasn’t a communist. Cain was a believer; he went to God; he built an altar. He done every religious thing that Abel done, but he didn’t have the spiritual revelation of the will of God. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. There you are. Do you see it? He didn’t have the spiritual revelation, and that’s what’s the matter with the church today. And Jesus said He’d build His church on that spiritual revelation. You get it? Oh, my, your eyes come open now. See? The spiritual revelation…
Cain come; he built an altar; he worshipped; he brought sacrifice; he knelt down; he praised God; he worshipped God; he done everything religious that Abel done. And God flatly refused him, because he didn’t have the spiritual revelation.

633           “All powers in heaven and earth is given into My hand. Go, and I’ll go with you. Whatever you bind on earth, I’ll bind in heaven. What you loose on earth, I’ll loose in heaven.”
Oh, if the great holy Church only realized its power to do these things. But there’s so much doubt and fear and trembling, wondering if it will, “Could it happen?” As long as that exists, the Church can never stand upright. And when every talk of fear is vanished and the Holy Spirit is completely in control of the Church, then all fears are gone, and that Church has the power. See? Why, they have everything that heaven owns behind them. They’re ambassadors of the throne. Absolutely. An ambassador of Christ has the authority, and everything that Christ owns belongs to that ambassador. And He said, “Go ye into all the world; you are My witnesses after the Holy Ghost is come on you.” And what is a witness? Is an ambassador, is to come and witness something. The whole powers of heavens is right in your hands. Oh, why do we set, and the church is barren, and we set dormant? Is because that we don’t recognize these things.
635           Now, the souls that were in prison that repented not, were not Angelic beings that had–had been brought down in the form of Angels, but it was the spirits of those angelic beings that fell before the foundation of the world, back there when the war went on in heaven. And Satan and–and the dragon fought, and then… Or Michael and–and the–the dragon fought and Lucifer. And Lucifer was cast out with all of his children, all of the angels that he had deceived, and those angels come to the earth and was subject then to become human. And when they did, that’s when the sons of God saw the daughters of men was fair, and took unto them wives.
They are sons of God. Every man that’s born in this earth is a son of God. Regardless of whether he’s sinner or what he is, he’s a son of God, created in the image of God for the praises of God; he’s created that way. But God in the beginning knew who would receive Him and who would not receive Him. Therefore He could predestinate, or not predestinate, but by foreknowledge He could tell who would be saved and who wouldn’t be saved, for He knew which person would take up which spirit. And Christ becomes… God dwells in that perfect…?… marred body completely forever and through eternity. When the Lamb and the Bride is married in heaven, she walks out in full possession. Absolutely. Isaac and Rebekah came forth in full possession.
And while this ceremony is going on in heaven of the Bride, the Gentile Bride being married to the Prince, God’s Son, in glory… While they’re being married, there’s three and a half years that takes place while the–Moses and Elijah…
Which, Moses was never abso… No, his body was packed away. The Angels took him; he did not mortify; he did not corrupt. He was a perfect type of Christ. He died, and the Angels packed him away, and even the devil don’t even know where he’s buried, and tried to dispute with Michael the Archangel about his burial. That’s what the Bible said.
637           And those spirits that come from the throne of God, and stands before the throne of God, and lived–and billions and billions and aeons of time before the world ever begin in the Presence of God, you think they don’t know something about worship? And they come down and get right into men, and they worship God. Absolutely, they worship God; and they have a knowledge of God, and they’re smart, and shrewd, and educated, always. But God rejected them from the beginning.
So therefore, friends, membership of a church, or–or knowledge of some theology or something, doesn’t have one thing to do with it. It’s got to be the Blood of Jesus Christ and a new birth that joins you to Him as one person. There you are.

E-33           Sometime ago, a story, just before closing, that struck me as I heard it many, many years ago… This secret coming of the Lord, sudden secret going of the church… “Watch, there’ll be two in the field; I’ll take one and leave one. There’ll be two in the bed; I’ll take one and leave one,” showing that the coming of the Lord will not be just at any certain corner, but it’ll be universal. One will be in the field working: daytime, the other one in the bed sleeping on the other side of the world. It’ll be a universal rapture. And it’ll come with the shout, with the voice of the Archangel. And the trump of God shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall rise. And she will be caught away secretly. Oh, I love that. The great Bridegroom coming, and the bride that got Herself ready, waiting for that secret moment that she doesn’t even know herself, but she’s ready and dressed, and waiting for it.

E-25           So all this here pretty and beauty stuff, that comes from the devil. That’s exactly right. Satan wanted more a glamorous kingdom than Michael. And that’s the reason he set up his kingdom in the North, and so forth. See, you’ve got to get away from that. America’s wrapped up in that kind of a stuff. See, don’t look to that.
But Abel come with a little rope, maybe a grape vine (I don’t guess they had any hemp in them days.) wrapped around the neck of a little li–lamb, and laid him up on a altar, and pulled his little head back, and took a rock (I don’t guess they had any lances.) and chopped his little neck like that, and the blood flying, and him bleating and crying, and the blood all over him like that. But God said, “That’s it. That’s it.”
What did it speak of? The Lamb of God hanging there, and His bloody locks hanging around His shoulder, speaking in other tongues while He was dying, “My God, My God, why has Thou forsaken Me?” That’s what it spoke of. In righteousness, his… that Spirit of revelation.

75           Now, as I just got to basing up to this, that Lucifer in heaven tried to exalt himself and even be just a little higher than his Boss. And he betrayed Michael, and made hisself a great kingdom in the north, and come down. Now, and he and his angels was cast out. The person that asked of ju–of the Revelation… That’s on Revelations 12, on the Isle of Patmos.
But now notice this here at the 12th verse, and watch how he sets in the kingdom of men.
How many people here understand that the devil controls every nation under heaven? The devil controls the United States. The devil is government of the United States. The devil is the government of Germany. He’s the government of every nation under heavens. The devil controls every nation. The Bible says he does. Read Matthew the 4th chapter, when Satan took Jesus up to the top of the mountain, and showed Him the kingdoms of the world, and claimed them to be his, and said, “I’ll give them to you if you’ll worship me.”
Jesus never said, “You lied, Satan.” He knowed they belonged to him. But over in the Book of Revelation, said, “Rejoice, you heavens and you earth, for the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. And He shall reign on earth.”
Jesus knowed that in the Millennium that all the governments and kingdoms will be broke down, and He’ll be God and Ruler over all of them. He knowed He fell heir to all of it; so therefore, He told Satan, “Get thee behind Me, Satan,” for He knew what He had to do.

99           Satan was literally cast out of heaven by Michael the Archangel and God. And he was cast to the earth, come to the earth, got into the serpent, deceived Eve, and then has got into men, women, all down through the age on the same thing he started at the beginning: a great big kingdom, prettier than the other fellow’s, be governor over all, know-it-all. “Our denomination is the biggest; it’s–predo–it’s–a–it’s predominant over the others.”
You’ve heard them say, “Why, we have so many hundred preachers in our organization. We got the biggest churches there is in the city.” The only one thing that spells is S-a-t-o-n to me. That’s right. That means the devil to me. When you get men that’ll break up and organize, and break up brotherhood, and say they’ll have nothing to do with the little church…
101           I’ve never seen a person too low yet, or I’ve never seen a person too far in sin yet; I’ve never seen one–a woman too stooped or a man too stooped, but what I would go to him, and put my arms around him, and bring him out of that if I can. I’ve never seen a bunch of holy-rollers, or whatever you want to call them, rooting, and jumping, and hollering, or whatever they might do, but what I’d get right in there and root, and jump, and holler with them to glorify God (That’s exactly right.) whether he’s black, yellow, brown, white, or whatever he might be. Yes, sir.
The Holy Ghost comes on one level; that’s you meet God’s requirement. If you ever get It, you’ll come on God’s level and not your own thoughts about It. Satan tries to make it classical, some great something, some big something, intellectual. You have to cast down that reasoning and believe what the Word says about it. Amen.

E-38           Now, my Catholic brother, and also many of my Protestants, I’m not hurting you. But when you try to make Jesus a little lesser god than God, make Him a lesser god, you cut His feet off, bring Him down just a little bit under the head of God, and make Him a lesser god, you are so wrong. Jesus was man. He called Himself the Son of man.
That was a death blow to the devil. The devil’s high, built himself a kingdom more beautiful than Michael’s. Cain, his son, wanted to make a pretty altar, all out of fruits and things.
God doesn’t dwell in that kind of beauty. But God to strike the death blow to sin… Look how He come. How did He choose to come? There’s a conference in heaven. “How You going down? How You going to do it, Father?” said the Angels.
“I’m going to become one of them. My law of redemption is a near kinsman. And I’ll have to be man, Myself.”

E-20     In this 3rd verse:
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
When I first read that, I thought it was an unusual text to take. And God is unusual, and God does things unusual, unusual things. And when I read it, I wondered what David must have been speaking about when he said, “Thy love-kindness is better to me than life.” I weighed that out, wondering just what could be better than life.
If we should take a trip tonight, and go up into the heaven, and I’d meet with father Abraham, and I’d say, “Abraham, what is the most glorious thing that you have ever known? What is the most essential thing that you have ever known?”
Abraham would say to me, “Life Eternal.”
Then I’ll take a little trip, and we’ll go again, and we’ll go up to the great Archangel, Gabriel, Who is the messenger of the covenant to the Jewish people, Who stands at the right hand of God, one of the highest order of Angels in the heaven. And I would say to Him, “Gabriel, Thou art a mighty Angel. You are loved of God, and You’ve been here for aeons of time, and You, perhaps, know everything in the heavens, and where everything is placed, because You’re one of God’s right hand Angels. And You know the great secrets of the heavens. You sounded the trumpet at the coming of the Lord Jesus. You announced His first coming, and You shall announce His second coming, so You must be a mighty man or a mighty Angel. I want to ask You in all of God’s treasures, what is the greatest thing that You have found among His treasures?”
I can see Gabriel bring himself to attention, and say, “The greatest thing that I have found in God’s treasures since He created Me is Life. God made Me to live for eternal, for eternity. And Life is the greatest thing that there is.”
E-21     No matter how rich you might be, no matter how popular you might be, no matter who you might be, the greatest thing there is that any man can achieve in this earth, is to achieve Eternal Life.
Though you be king and potentate, though you rule the world for a million years as king and young men, and you fail to find Eternal Life, you’ve lost the greatest thing that anyone could lose.

221           Like God, when He made the world, the seventh day, He rested after that. He rested; He went on resting. When we enter into God, we rest all the time; not from one Sunday to another. We rest eternal; we got Eternal Life. The Holy Spirit gives you Rest.
Now, they had a Pentecostal experience, a reality of God. They found something.
Let me say one more thing. Creeds does not satisfy a hungry heart. Creeds won’t satisfy. If a man’s hungering for God, you tell him, say, “Say the Apostles’ Creed; join the church; put your name on here; be sprinkled or immersed,” or whatever you want to, that’ll never satisfy a hungry soul. ‘Cause they were predestinated of God to search for Life. They was once the angels; they was once an angel who did not fall. Two-thirds of the angels of heaven fell; that’s these evil spirits working amongst people, very religious. You know the Bible says that. You was just not all always right here. You were once somewhere else.
225           Remember, sin didn’t begin on earth. Sin begin in heaven, when Lucifer taken and made him… He said, “I want a denomination, make a great big thing,” went on the north country and set up a bigger thing than Michael had. And he was kicked out of heaven.
And those angels back there, them spirits… When that’s the reason, “When this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting.” See? And that’s the reason our name was put on the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. “All the Father has given Me, will come to Me.”

E-39           You know, great bright things is what blinds the eyes of the people. Eve was looking for a new light; she got it. The Bible said in the last days that “The devils would be… turn themselves into ministers of light.” Look at the very first sin was ever performed, was Satan wanted a greater, a brighter kingdom–a great thing–and went over in the north and set his own kingdom up to outshine Michael. It’s always those bright things.
We’re not monkeys; monkeys reach after bright things. Let’s be men and women, sensible; set down, look at the Gospel, see what it says, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. You’ll never be able to know God, until the Holy Spirit comes into you. That’s exactly.
E-40           The Bible said that “No man can call Jesus the Christ only by the Holy Ghost.” If you’ve never received the Holy Ghost, you don’t know that He’s the Christ yet. Remember that. You’re only walking towards that light.
You can say, “My pastor said so.” That’s true. “My Bible said so.” That’s true. “My mother said so.” That’s truth. “My church believes it’s the Holy Ghost.” That’s true, but what about you? As an individual, you don’t know until you’ve received It. And when you receive the Holy Ghost, then you are a witness that He’s alive forever more. Now, the Holy Ghost is within you; now, and then you watch Him as He works. If the Life of Christ is in you, it will produce His Life in you.
“The works that I do shall you do also.” The same works, because it’s the same life.
If the life in a watermelon vine produces a watermelon, well, it’ll… The next branch that comes out, it’ll produce another watermelon; every time it’ll be a watermelon. And if the church is really anchored in Christ, every church will write a book of Acts behind it. That’s exactly right, because the first one wrote a book of Acts behind it. So, there we are.

141           I’d like to bring to you another thing; after Jesus had died, buried, in Saint John 21:20. Some critic started this in the early day. Right while we’re in the lesson, let’s clean it up. In Saint John 20:21, Jesus had met with His disciples, fed them fish and bread upon the fire. And as they went up the bank, John leaned upon His bosom; and Peter asked the question, said, “What will happen to this man?” Jesus loved John, John was a man of love. And he said, “What will happen to this man? What’s going to be his estate? What’s going to be his future?”
And Jesus said to them, “What is it to you if he tarries until I come, till I return? What is it?”
And the disciples made a mistake, they said that “Jesus said that–that–that ‘he was going to live till the Coming.'”
But Jesus didn’t make no mistake. Right here in Revelation, the 4th chapter, Christ kept His Word! He brought John up into Heaven and rehearsed the whole thing to him. Glory! He–he saw the preview. He saw it just as though he lived on earth and saw the whole church ages come to pass, to the coming of the Lord, the whole Book of Revelation. Oh, my!
145           See how infallible His promises is? Now, you’re chosen… James didn’t do that; John, any of the rest of them; wouldn’t even let Paul see it, tell it, nothing.
He said, “What is it to you if he tarries until I come?”
And being that they said that, He just chose John and took him up and showed him the whole thing before he even died, just like he lived the whole thing through. Showed him what it would be! (Brother Pat, ain’t that wonderful?) Oh, see, picked him right up. Right here, the 4th chapter and the 2nd verse, proves it. “He showed him things which was, which is, and what shall come.” He showed him the church age, the coming of the Jews, the pouring out of the plagues, the Rapture, the Coming again, and the Millennium, and the Eternal Home of His Saved; just as though he lived right down through the whole thing, and he saw it all happen. See? See? He just took him up and showed him the–the–the film that He’s turning, let him see the whole thing rehearsed. Oh, my!
147           He’s caught up. Fulfilled His promise in–in Revelation 4:2. Before his death he was caught up in the Spirit and seen things just as though he had lived. He–he seen it all rehearsed. Thus he saw, in a vision, exactly what would have took place and what did take place on the earth from that time until the coming of the Lord Jesus. Show it to him in the vision.
So then the disciples… or no one that ever said that He said He’d come in that age. He said, “What is it to you if, (otherwise), if he tarries till I come?” Then He took him up and just rehearsed the thing to him and showed him what was going to happen. Oh, I just love that. Hmm. Oh, my!
149           Notice now, let’s see what was this:
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat upon it, upon the throne.
There was a “Voice” that called him. Oh, that Voice! Oh, I can’t get away from that, that Voice of that One behind him. Then he looked around there, and He showed him all the church ages, ’cause he was standing in the church ages, the seven golden candlesticks. Then he heard that Voice after the church ages ceased; that Voice left the earth, went up. When He got into Glory, he heard Him say, “Come up here! I’m going to show you what’s going to happen from hereafter.” Oh, my!
150           That Voice! Let’s speak on that Voice a minute; I got some Scriptures wrote down here. Let’s go to First Thessalonians 4, and just listen over here what this Voice is going to say. Oh, we all know what It’s going to say, without… before we read it, don’t we? We know what’s going to happen. “The trumpet of God shall sound and the dead in Christ shall rise.” Is that right? You who are putting it down, in First Thessalonians 4:16 and 17, “the Voice,” that Voice was the Voice of Christ. Is that right? The Voice of Christ!
For the… trumpet of God shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
… we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them… to meet the Lord in the air: and forever be with the Lord.
151 The same voice that summoned John, “Come up,” the same voice that said to John, “Come up,” is the same voice that’ll summons the church someday (Amen.), summons the church.
Also, the same voice that summoned John to come up, is the same voice that summoned dead Lazarus out of the grave, that same voice of the archangel. Christ is the voice of the archangel, “voice of the archangel.” See? Oh, that trumpet voice of Christ summoned John to come up, the same voice summoned Lazarus.
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

154           That same Voice said to John, “Come up here, I’ll show you some things that’s fixing to happen.” That same Voice that shall sound when the dead in Christ shall rise, “For the trumpet… ” The trumpet! What is a trumpet? The Voice of Christ, the same One sounded and summoned him up. He heard the Voice like a trumpet sound and said, “Come up hither!” See how the resurrection will be? It’ll be in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. That clear sounding Voice, and He’ll summons the Church, calling, “Come out of it.” That great summonsing Voice. God, help me to hear It that day.
156           As I’ve often said… I know, as a mortal, Rodney, I know that there’s a big dark door set before me, it’s called death. Every time my heart beats, I’m one beat closer to that door. Some of these days I got to go into it. But I don’t want to go in like a coward, screaming and hollering. I want to go in this, wrapping myself in the robes of His righteousness, knowing this, that I know Him in the power of His resurrection; that someday when He calls, I’ll come out from among the dead. When He summonses me to appear on High, when the trumpet of God shall sound and the dead in Christ shall rise. If I’m alive, I’ll be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, and shall go with the rest of them, up to meet the Lord in the air. That trumpet Voice, sound clear, loud. Hmm. Oh, it will be the same, the same at His Coming.
157           There’s no uncertain sound about It. There was nothing uncertain to John when he heard that Voice say, “Come up!” and he come. Amen.
When Lazarus, in the dead, in the grave; and his soul, four days journey somewhere, I don’t know where it was at, I don’t think any of us does. Wherever it was, it didn’t make a bit of difference. He just made one summons to a man that the skin worms was eating his body up; stinking, in the grave. That clear sounding Trumpet said, “Lazarus, come forth!” There a man, dead and rotten, shook hisself and come out of the grave, walking. Nothing uncertain about that, is there, brethren? No uncertainty to there!
159           It’s the same thing tonight, when a clear sounding Voice says, “Sinner, repent, I’ll give you Eternal Life.” Repent, every one of you, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. That’s the summons. Nothing uncertain about It.
I’m a witness that It’s true. There’s other witnesses, millions of them throughout the world today, that’s a witness that it’s the Truth. When the Bible comes, the Words of God, every Word of God is a trumpet. Every sound of the Word is a trumpet, the Gospel trumpet. And when It sounds, it’s the Truth. When It said, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever,” nothing uncertain about That. He’s the same! Yes, sir.

105           But you notice in here, it was not mercy seat, for there was “lightnings and thunder and voices.” There’s no lightning and thunders at mercy. That’s judgment.
Let’s turn to Exodus, 19 chapter of Exodus and the 16th verse. Exodus, 19 chapter of Exodus, and let’s begin with the 16th verse: And it came to pass…Listen what… when God ascended upon Mount Sinai:
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders… lightning, and a thick cloud upon the mountain, and the voice of a trumpet exceedingly loud; (What is the voice of the trumpet? Is the archangel.) so that all the people… (Listen!)… all the people… was in the camp trembled.”
Judgment!” Whew! They had marched out there and God had given them grace to travel by, but they had demanded a law. They… God wanted them to be interdenomination; they wanted to make a denomination out of it, something they could argue about, instead of just following God and living under His jurisdiction, under His power. Grace had provided a prophet, grace had provided an atonement (a lamb), grace had provided all these things, and yet they wanted judgment. They wanted something they could do. God said, “Assemble them together, I’ll let them know what it is. I’ll show them what it is.” Read! Listen! And the voice of the trumpet got louder and louder until it shook the earth. You see what judgment is. I don’t want that. Give me mercy!

133           And as soon as he made… When this Angel, this mighty Angel, cried out “Who is worthy?” he was advertising right then, he was advertising for a Kinsman Redeemer. And immediately after, he said, “Who is worthy to take the Book?” Then something… Then John started weep. Then what happened? He seen, there stood the Book. There It was, but who was worthy?
Well, there stood Gabriel, course, he was worthy; but, see, he wasn’t a man, and he was an Angel. And there stood Michael, he was worthy; but he wasn’t a man, he was an Angel. So it had to be somebody that became a earthly person like we did. And then when he seen this Lamb that had been slain from the foundation of the world, come up, and he seen that He had been slain all the way to the foundation of the world, then John wept. Amen! ‘Cause there it was, he saw the whole thing. See?

345             Satan’s army brings diseases, and God’s army is commissioned to cast them out. Amen. There you are. Every time Satan throws any on, onto you, God’s army is to cast him out. Amen. Cast out!
346    That’s the very technique that God used. Satan used the army of destruction, to disbelieve God’s Word, and set him up a better kingdom than Michael had, and God cast him out.
347    God’s method, is, cast out the evil. Cast down reasoning. Cast down superstition. Cast down worry. Cast down diseases. Cast down sin. Amen. You’re above it, resurrected in Christ Jesus, setting in Heavenly places, with every devil under your foot.

E-5     See, honestly, I know I’m called everything from an archangel to a devil. I’m your brother. I’m your brother. And those things might be said about me. I can’t help what’s said. I must be honest. I want to say as Paul, “I was not disobedient to the Heavenly vision” that came to me as a boy. And since then the Lord has worked–having confidence in God, faith in Christ.

E-84           “Sirs, We Would See Jesus.” What more would it be, if a man come in here with blood over him, and nail scars, and things… Jesus, when He comes, every eye shall see Him, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess when the Body of Jesus returns. I believe in His literal coming, corporal body, descending from the heavens with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, the trump of God. The dead in Christ shall rise. But His Spirit is here with us.
And as the church, like the pyramid, comes into a–a point, so has the church in the days of Luther, days of Wesley, days of Pentecostal. And now just before the Headstone comes into it, that church has to be honed so perfect, till the same ministry that He did here, His same Spirit, so predominant, will bring that same Body right into it, and resurrect the whole thing. That’s exactly. Amen. Glory to God.

121     Noah’s great generation there, when they were so smart, God sent them a message. And when He did, He never sent an archangel. He sent a farmer, with a simple, little message, but it was showing them. Now, do you think they receive it? No. Because, it was too simple. If–if it wasn’t been so simple, they would have received it. If it been some great something, you could told them how to build a pyramid that was greater than the ones that they already had built, and so forth, they might have received it. But He sent a simple man with a message, that, “It’s going to rain.” That didn’t meet their scientific education. Why, they could shoot to the skies, with radar or something, and prove there’s no water up there.
122    But Noah said, “God said there’d be water there. And if God said there’d be water there, though there’s none there, He can put it there, because He’s the Creator.” That’s it. No matter what anybody else says, God said so, and God is able to keep His Word. That simple, little message condemned the world in his days, and saved his own household. That’s right. Of a simple, nothing radical, just, simply, “Walk in the ark.” That’s all there was necessary. “Believe and walk in.” God saved the world by simplicity, showing Hisself so humble. That was… What was it? God hiding again from the real smart, educated.

262             We’ve all got a victory. We’ve fought through many victories. And a great victory is coming just soon, right around the corner. Our complete V-day will be soon, when the Son of God shall break the skies, and scream with the Voice of the Archangel, and He shall come again. And the graves shall open, and the dead shall walk out.
263    I think you play my tapes down here, of the vision I just had, or a translation, whatever it was, in a room; and went up there and seen those people, just the same as I see you, this Bible laying open here before me. And God knows that’s the truth. See? There they was, young, just the same, and the same.

180     How bold they are! “Now, don’t pay any attention to that nonsense. There is nothing to It. Don’t go up there. It’s just a bunch of noise. There is nothing to That. That’s just all fiction. That’s in your mind.” See, see what I mean? Stand right in the Presence of the Word and say it.
181    Satan walked right in. As the Bible said over here in Jude, “Even the Archangel, when disputing with Satan, said, ‘The Lord rebuke you.'” Against the Word Itself!
And here is the antichrist, the anointed, standing right here against the genuine Word of the day, Jesus Christ, and said, “It’s written.”
That’s the reason Micaiah could say, “All right, you just wait and see.”
Ahab said, “I believe my prophets. My organization is right. When I come back in peace… Put that fellow back yonder in the prison. I’ll take care of him! Give him bread of sorrow. Turn him out, don’t have no fellowship with him at all. When I return in peace, we’ll take care of that guy.”
184    Micaiah said, “If you return at all, the Lord hasn’t spoke to me.” He knowed he had THUS SAITH THE LORD, and his vision was exactly with THUS SAITH THE LORD; not for some other season, but for that season. Amen! Hallelujah! The season!
185    Bold, stand up and dispute with a Archangel! It’s been said, that, “Fools will trod with hobnail shoes where Angels

546             Now, the big fancy intellectual denominations are doing the very same thing, gathering themselves together to do the same thing. See? They are gathering and a denominating themselves, each one trying to beat the other one. And now they got so much splendor, they don’t know what to do but to unite it with the Catholic church. See? Lucifer again building a bigger kingdom, to push out people that don’t believe in denominations; and even take their church buildings and make storerooms, and the pastors of such has no rights at all.
547    And a man that is a God-sent man would never stay in a denomination after hearing This or seeing It, if he–if he’s got enough to go out and look at It. Certainly. See? I don’t say that critically; I say that truthfully, see, to see that revealed.
548             Notice, in this last days, Lucifer is doing the same thing. Can you see it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”–Ed.] The devil doing the same thing, building up a hybrid church, a hybrid by hybrid members, hybrid by knowledge instead of the Word, by intellectual men instead of born-again men, building an intellectual kingdom that will outshine Christ’s little bitty flock. See? What is it that did that? Fallen angels.
549    The Bible said it was fallen angels who listened to Lucifer instead of Christ, Who they once belonged to. Is that right? [Congregation says, “Amen.”–Ed.]
550             Now listen close, “fallen angels.” What kind of angels? Luther, Wesley, Catholic, Pentecostals, who kept not their first estate like the Angels did, and has fell into organization, like Lucifer’s main hold at Nicaea. And what have they done? Organized a great ecumenical association of ministers, to make “an image unto the beast,” as the Bible said. And building a Christian economy that’ll close the doors of this church and others like it. See Lucifer at his work?
551    I’m trying to bring you the threefold revelation, or mystery of God.
552             What did they do? Sold out to reasonings of wisdom and education, like Eve did, fallen angels did. Wesley was a man of God; but what followed him? Fallen angels got into it. What was the angels, first? Creative beings of God, but fell for Lucifer’s wisdom, fell for Lucifer–Lucifer’s wisdom. And you see what they become? Fallen angels. And organizations, from men of God who has went forth to establish Truths in the earth; before that Truth could go on and proclamate and get on to the real revelation of Christ, fallen angels come in and took it over and made denominations out of it.
553    That’s the reason the revelation of the Seven-Seal mystery had to be unfolded.
554    Now you see it? What they left off! If Luther would have went on, it’d have been here. If Wesley would have went on, if Pentecost would have went on, what would they’d done?
555             Now there is only one thing can happen. There has to be a Message at the end time, when there is nothing else can follow It. And now the ecumenical world has set up such a regime that there can be no denomination and no not nothing else follow it; you’re either in it or you’re not in it. The fruit is in the top of the tree, and the Light is shining on that predestinated fruit. And she is ripening into Christ-like fruit, bringing forth the same mellowness and sweetness, and the same Spirit that He had in Him. Hope you see it! See?

64           385. Brother Branham, what is the difference, if–if any, between the Angel of the Lord and the Lord, Himself.
The angel of the Lord is a messenger from the Lord, and the Lord Himself is that Person, not the person of the angel, the angel from the Lord. Let me show you. Earthly speaking here’s an angel from the Lord. Earthly speaking here’s an angel from the Lord. Earthly speaking here’s the angel from the Lord. How do we know then that they are angels from the Lord? When they bring the Word of the Lord. But when they try to pervert It, it’s not from the Lord then (See, see?)–try to make It say something It doesn’t say. Just say whatever…
Then there is a supernatural Angel comes down from the Lord, a Messenger like Gabriel, and–and Michael, Woodworm, and so forth, their names.

128             The word Rapture, in the Bible, is not even used at all. We just put that word there. The Bible says, “caught up; being caught up.” We read here in Second Thessalonians… Or, First Thessalonians, it is the order of this great Rapture that will take place in the last days. Listen to this here. We’re going to begin here with 13th verse…. I would not have you… ignorant, brethren, concerning those which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others that have no hope.
For if we believe… Christ died and rose again, even so them… which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For we say this unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent… (That word prevent means to “hinder.”)… those that are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend…Now listen close…. the Lord himself shall descend from the heavens with a shout, and with the voice of the archangel, and… the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:…
129             Now, I want you to notice a great thing taking place here now. Don’t miss this. See? Now notice. The Word says here, in Second Thessalonians, that there is three things. Notice. From the 13th to the 16th verse, there is three things that has to happen before the Lord Himself appears. Quickly now, so we can close. See? The first thing happens… Notice: a shout, a voice, a trumpet. Let’s read It now and see if that’s right. See?
For the Lord himself (16th verse) shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of the archangel, and… the trump of God:…
130             Three things happens. A voice… A shout, a voice, a trumpet, has to happen before Jesus appears. Now, a shout… Jesus does all three of them when He’s–He’s–He’s–He’s descending.
A shout, what is the shout? It’s the Message going forth, first, the living Bread of Life bringing forth the Bride.
131    Now, God has a way of doing things. And He never changes His policy. He never changes His po-… He’s the unchanging God. In Amos 3:7, He said, “He would do nothing on the earth until first He revealed it to His servants the prophets.” And just as certain as He promised it, He’ll do it.
132             Now, we’ve come through the church ages. But we’re promised in the last days, according to Malachi 4, that there would be a return again, a prophet in the land. That’s right. Notice his nature, what he would be like. He’s alway…
God uses that spirit five times: once in Elijah; in Elisha; in John the Baptist; call out the Church; and the remnant of the Jews. Five times, “grace,” J-e-s-u-s, f-a-i-t-h, and it’s the number of grace. See? All right.
133             Now, remember, the Message is promised. And when all these mysteries has been all so bundled up by a bunch of ecclesiasties, it will take a–a direct prophet from God to reveal It. And that’s exactly what He promised to do. See?
134    Now, remember, “The Word of the Lord comes to the prophet,” not the theologian. The prophet, he is a reflector of God’s Word. He can’t say nothing; he can’t say his own thoughts. He can only speak what God reveals. Even to the prophet Balaam when he was tried to be sold, sell his right, he said, “How can any prophet say anything but what God puts in his mouth?” It’s a thing that God does, that you can’t say nothing else. And you’re born that way. No more than you could…

The question now arises, why are these righteous ones in the judgment? There is no other place that they can come up, for there are but two resurrections and since they could not qualify for the first resurrection they must come up in the second which is a resurrection unto judgment. The ones who qualify for the first resurrection (the bride) are not in the judgment. John 5:24, “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life (that is, the believer is already the recipient of eternal life which he has in his possession now) and shall not come into condemnation (shall not come into the judgment, is what it really says) but is passed (permanently) from death unto life.” But notice carefully, Jesus must have yet another group in mind who at a certain resurrection will receive eternal life. They will receive it at the resurrection, NOT HAVING PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED IT AS A MEMBER OF THE BRIDE.

John 5:28-29,

“Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear His voice,

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”

Now we all know that John 5:28-29 is NOT THE RAPTURE for only the dead in Christ will arise from the graves at that time along with the living bride who still is on the earth.

I Thessalonians 4:16-17,

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

But it says in John 5:28-29 that ALL are going to come forth from the grave. This is the very same resurrection that is spoken of in Revelation 20:11-15 wherein THE DEAD were brought before the Lord and judged according to their works, and all whose names were not in the Book of Life were then cast into the lake of fire.

We now face the question as to why they should be given eternal life at the judgment since the Epistles seem to conclusively point out that one must possess the Spirit of Christ or perish. Though it seems thus, we must not discredit the words of Jesus Who most pointedly sets forth that there are some found in the Book of Life who will either receive eternal life before the general resurrection or after it.

Paul does not evade this truth for he most clearly says in Philippians 3:11,

“If by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.”

Now this statement is most peculiar. We all know that we are ALL going to be in a resurrection whether we want to be or not. All will be resurrected. So Paul could hardly be saying, “If by ANY MEANS I might attain to a resurrection of the dead.” The truth of the matter is, he is not saying that. The literal reading is, “If by any means I might attain to the ‘out-resurrection’ from among the dead.” This is not the attaining to the general or second resurrection, but attaining to the first resurrection, of which is said, “Blessed and Holy is he who hath part in the first resurrection, on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” The first resurrection has nothing to do with the second death. That is at the end of the thousand years when ALL THE REST of the dead live again. And in that day there will be those who come forth to eternal life and those others who are caught in the second death. Now we do not need to guess about those who in the second resurrection are given life. We are told it is given to them on the grounds that they have been kind and good to the “Brethren”. Those who are raised and cast into the lake of fire will be so treated because of their mistreatment of the “Brethren”. Since this is the Word of God we simply accept it. There is no argument here, just a simple statement of fact.

To further clarify, notice specifically the words of Matthew 25:31-46. It does not say that a shepherd is literally separating sheep from goats, but it is AS a shepherd dividing sheep from goats. These are not sheep in this particular area of time (White Throne Judgment). The sheep are in His fold, they heard His voice (Word) and they followed Him. THEY ALREADY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE AND CANNOT COME INTO THE JUDGMENT. But these do NOT have eternal life, and they are in the judgment. They are allowed to GO INTO eternal life. But upon what grounds do they enter into life eternal? Certainly not upon the fact that they already have His life as does the bride, but they receive it because they were kind to His brethren. They are not His brethren: that would make them joint-heirs with Jesus. They are NOT heirs to anything but life. They share no throne, etc. with Him. THEIR NAMES MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE AND NOT REMOVED. Now because of their love of the people of God they are recognized and saved. No doubt these served and helped the children of God. Perhaps like Nicodemus and Gamaliel they stood for the children in a time of trouble.

If this seems to smack of “restoration,” watch carefully now, for the wicked are NOT restored, but turned into the lake of fire. The names of many of those destroyed were in the Book of Life also; but they were blotted out because they failed to honor the people of God who were the living manifested Word (living epistles) for their day.

Now let us be very clear here. These are not nations being judged and going into the millennium because they have harbored and helped the Jews. That is very clear because of the conclusion of these verses. “And these (the wicked) shall go away into everlasting punishment (lake of fire), but the righteous into everlasting life.” There is no record of TWO judgments set where the wicked are cast into the lake of fire. Only the beast and false prophet are judged at the end of the great tribulation. No, this is the White Throne judgment, and they are judged according to what is written in the books.

It is the second resurrection that the “souls under the altar” as set forth in the fifth seal (Revelation 6:9-11) are given white robes, and of course eternal life, or there would be no point of white robes.

“And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

Now note particularly that none of these under the altar were killed for the testimony to Jesus. They were not like Antipas who was slain for holding fast His Name. These are not born again ones, with eternal life as their possession. They come up in the resurrection and receive life because of their stand on the Word. And notice how these are crying out for vengeance. They cannot be bride material. The bride turns the cheek and cries, “Forgive them, Father, they know not what they do.” These are Jews. They have to be because they are in the fifth seal, and it is in the fourth seal that the Gentile bride is gone in the rapture. So these Jews aren’t born of His Spirit. They don’t even believe that Jesus is the Messiah. But as they were blinded by God for the Gentile’s sake, God gave them eternal life on the grounds that though they could not come to Him, yet they were truly faithful to all the Word they knew, and died for it as multitudes died under Hitler, Stalin, etc., and will yet die.

It is the second resurrection wherein the five foolish virgins come up. Notice that they were virgins. They did not have the Holy Spirit so they missed being in the bride, while the five wise who had oil became a part of that bride. But these people, being a separated, God-loving people, and trying to abide in the Word, according to what they knew of it, and being a help in the work of the Lord will come up at the end of time. They will miss the millennium, which you can begin to see by these truths is much more important and wonderful than we have ever thought or believed.

All these people had their names in the Book of Life and their names remained. But whose names did not remain? Those of the world system churches who fought the bride will be those whose names are removed. That is who will lose out. They will be cast into the lake of fire.

Now let us go another step, but before we do let us review our case thus far. First of all we know most assuredly that the purpose of God stands in election. It was purposed in Himself. It was God’s purpose to bring forth a people like unto Himself that would be a Word Bride. She was chosen before the foundation of the world IN HIM. She was fore-known and beloved before she was ever brought forth during the ages upon the earth. She was redeemed by His blood and can NEVER come into condemnation. She can never be in the judgment because sin cannot be imputed unto her.

Romans 4:8,

“Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”

But indeed she shall be with Him in His throne of judgment, judging the world and even angels. Her name (each of her members) was written in a section of the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. Secondly, there is another class. Their names are also in the Book of Life and they will come up in the second resurrection. Such are the foolish virgins and the righteous as are spoken of in Matthew 25. In this class also are those who do not worship the beast or become involved in the antichrist system but die for their faith even though they are not in the bride, not having been born again. But they will come up in the second resurrection and go into eternal life. Thirdly, there are the borderline Christians such as we saw in Israel coming out of Egypt. These had their names in the Book of Life and their works written in the books. These having failed to obey God and being void of the Spirit, though even the signs and wonders were amongst them, will have their names removed from the Book of Life. Amongst this group will be the ones like Judas who though entirely void of the Spirit, but are religious, will have manifestation in their lives, and though on the books were not the elected IN HIM. Such also as Balaam will be in that group. Fourth and finally are the ones whose names have never been or will ever be written on the books.

Such are found in Revelation 13:8 and Revelation 17:8,

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not: and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”

Jesus said that a certain group would accept one who came in his own name. That one is the antichrist. And that is exactly what it says of them in Revelation 13:8, and 17:8. These were ordained of God but not unto election. And with this group is such that are as Pharaoh.

It says of him,

“Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up. Vessels of wrath fitted for destruction.”

Romans 9:17 and 22.

None of these would be placed on the records of life. I am not saying that there is no record of them. No doubt there is some kind of a record of them, but NOT IN THE RECORDS OF LIFE. Their purpose of existence has been dealt with slightly in the rest of this book but we can add two more Scriptures.

Proverbs 16:4,

“The Lord hath made the wicked for the day of evil.”

Job 21:30,

“The wicked is reserved to the day of destruction, they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.”

Since this portion of the Word is hard for the human mind to grasp, it must be accepted and believed by faith. Some will be offended by what I have set forth because they fail to understand the sovereignty of God which sets forth that GOD IS GOD, and because He is God one cannot defeat His counsels or thwart His will and purpose; but He, being omnipotent, is ruling in ALL affairs and is doing whatever He will with all His creation because all were created for His good pleasure. Therefore, as Paul says, “If God should take of one lump of clay and make of that same lump one vessel unto honor and another vessel unto dishonor, who can be offended and cry against Him?” That He has the right to do this on the grounds of creation alone, we cannot deny. Yet He went even further, for according to Romans 14:7-9, we have the irrefutable proof that Jesus paid the purchase price of the whole world, and therefore He can do as He wills with His own.

“For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

For to this end Christ both died and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord BOTH OF THE DEAD AND LIVING.”

(Ownership; NOT relationship is meant here.)

This is also set forth in John 17:2,

“As Thou hast given Him power OVER ALL FLESH, that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him.”

Now, if we impute omniscience to God, we must also accept that He is perfect in wisdom and righteousness. This plan of election and reprobation is the wisdom of God revealed in all ages even, as it says in Ephesians 1:3-11,

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all Spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ,

According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him. In love

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.

In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all WISDOM and prudence,

Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself,

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in Him;

In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will.”

Thus if God has so designed that there be those whose names are placed in a section of the Lamb’s Book of Life and cannot be erased for they are the names of His bride, then we must accept that. If it also states that there are those whose names were placed in the record of the Book of Life but in the foreknowledge of God they were to fall and have their names removed we must accept that. And if there are those whose names were NEVER placed upon a record of life, we must accept that, also. And if there are those who will enter into life eternal after the White Throne judgment solely on the grounds of being good and kind and just to the elect of God who are His brethren, then we cannot but accept that. FOR WHO KNOWETH THE MIND OF THE LORD THAT HE SHOULD INSTRUCT HIM? Rather let us be subject in faith to Him Who is our Father and live.
